From the Transportation and Safety Committee, I have a resolution authorizing an application and a contract with the Ohio Department of Transportation, ODOT, for congestion mitigation and air quality funds for the installation of a roundabout at the intersection of West Wooster Street and Winter Garden Road. From the Transportation and Safety Committee, I have an ordinance amending and adopting Section 72.39B2 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio, regarding low-speed micromobility devices.

From the Finance Committee, I have an ordinance providing supplemental and or amending appropriations for the current expenses and expenditures of the City of Bowling Green, Ohio during the fiscal year beginning January 1st, 2026 and ending December 31st, 2026. That brings us to official reports.

Mr. Mayor. Thank you, Mr. President. Good evening, Council. I just wanted to share my appreciation for those responsible for presenting the 4th of July fireworks and the community festival that occurred last week. That's a lot of work to present that event that takes place during the day at the fairgrounds. And then I thought the fireworks were exceptional this year. Seemed to be well attended by the community. I hope everybody enjoyed it. But again, I just wanted to express my appreciation to Mary Hinkleman and her group at the chamber and all those that contributed to support the event and all those volunteers that helped present the event on those days. Completes my report and subject any questions that you may have.

Mr. Harold. I just want to completely agree with you, Mike. The fireworks were stupendous. Possibly the best I've ever seen, but you're my age, you tend to forget things. But fantastic fireworks display.

I'll just take a moment to remind everyone that at our next meeting, which will be on July 20th at 6.30 prior to that evening's meeting, there will be a finance committee meeting for the purpose of doing a quarterly review of the city's finances. Resolution declaring it necessary to renew with an increase an existing tax for the purpose of providing funds for parks and recreation purposes and requesting the Wood County auditor to certify the total current tax valuation of the city and the dollar amount of revenue that would be generated by that levy and declaring the necessity of a levy in excess of the maximum rate authorized by law without a vote of the electors of 2.95 mils.
