Okay, thank you. I'd request a motion to approve the agenda as submitted.

1:147

So moved. Second.

1:16 – 1:3810

We have a motion and a second. All approved. Say aye. Aye. Any opposed? Passes? Okay. A, would you read our first case, please?

1:38 – 2:074

It's going to be CUSE372026, the application of Alvin Olson, writer for Chevrolet, requesting temporary use approval renewal to allow an existing 12 by 60 commercial modular building to remain for an additional year as office space for a motor vehicle sales lot located at 215 Barsdale Boulevard, Bossier City, Louisiana, City Council District 5, Gloucester District 9. Hey, good afternoon.

2:07 – 3:159

How are y'all? Yes, we have a mobile modular building, the 215 Barsdale, that's acting as our used car lot. We moved that, well we didn't move the building, but we moved our used car operations from the foot of the Texas Street Bridge to that lot about a little bit over a year ago. We are in the process of selling that piece of property, probably close on the East Texas Street lot at the end of June. Our plan is to put a permanent building on the 215 Barksdale location. We've met with Carlotta to discuss what that would require architecturally or what landscaping would be required there. We haven't begun on any architecture drawings yet, but we'd like to operate out of that building. for another year while we try to make plans to put a permanent structure at that address.

3:172

So the used car lot is the one that would remain?

3:20 – 3:499

So 207 East Texas Street is under contract. It'll probably be sold by the end of June. So at that point, we don't have a permanent location to move back to. So we'd like to move. We'd like to put a permanent building at 215 Barksdale, and it would be probably a three office, small three office building with a restroom, but nothing.

3:502

What progress has taken place towards that building?

3:56 – 4:569

Not a lot. We met with Carlisle. We were asking to make the mobile modular office permanent, and we found out that that wasn't going to be an option. So we're trying to figure out what the requirements would be. And our options post this building operating as an office for our used car lot are either going to be build a new building there or move everybody back across the street to 221 Traffic Street, which we can do. But it does help us operationally have physical salespeople on that line. There's more foot traffic down there at the East Bank District than there was five years ago, than there was 10 years ago. And we were missing foot traffic by not having people over there. So it does help us to have the building. And our intent today is to put a building we don't have designs on.

4:58 – 5:212

Of course, we approved the modular building really close to 18 months ago. Right. So I would be fine giving you, I'm speaking for myself, maybe six months, but within that period of time, if you could present some preliminary drawings or architectural drawings, say, here's what we're doing, we're moving forward, then I think we could work with that.

5:229

That'd be appreciated.

5:2310

I would support that as well.

5:282

And, okay.

5:33 – 5:5310

everybody okay with that yeah okay this is a public meeting and uh we could entertain any comments from the public if anyone has any let me just remind everybody that if you come up to speak you'll have three minutes and uh we'll try to keep it to that just keep the meetings short enough but any comments

5:56 – 6:122

If not, I'm going to make a motion that we approve an extension of six months for the temporary structure. And then we'll review the progress towards the new building, permanent building, at that point in time.

6:138

I'll second it.

6:1410

Okay, we've got a motion and a second. All those in favor, say aye. Aye. Aye. Any opposed?

6:25 – 6:594

8:35 – 8:585

Yeah, so the hotels, we've been renovating it for the last year and a half now. All of our guest rooms are complete, so we're in the public areas, and we wanted to bring an amenity for the guests that they haven't had before. In our marketplace, the low-volume beer and wine kind of package for the guests to take up to their rooms and enjoy in the lobby and stuff like that. So that's what we're here for today. Okay.

15:116

15:184

Mr. Long, can you say that to the microphone?

15:196

Yeah, to the rear property line. Right. To the east, yeah. And it would have to be screen wall or... Yeah, there'll be one, yeah, between us and what's called residential back there.

17:47 – 18:0710
