All right. So, we have an open session now for um any items that are not listed on the agenda for a public hearing. Would anyone in the public like to be heard on another issue? Seeing none, I will close the public session. All right, moving on to ordinances. Uh, I will open the public hearing on ordinance 2026 2044, a bond ordinance providing for the acquisition of lands for affordable housing purposes in and by the burrow of Bernardville in the county of Somerset, New Jersey, appropriating 1,238,000, therefore, and authorizing the issuance of 1,176,100 bonds or notes of the bureau for financing. such appropriation. Um Jack, you want to just give a little review of this?
Yes. This this property uh was taken by the burrow in connection with the third round affordable housing obligation. Uh it actually goes back to I think about 2012 at the beginning of round three when David Zimmerman was still the the burrow planner and it's been in the plan since then. But in any event, uh, the bureau took it by condemnation and deposited $650,000 with the court. Uh, there was then a a condemnation commissioner's hearing on the amount of compensation to be paid and the commissioners awarded uh, the property owner approximately $1.7 million. So this ordinance is to finance that purchase which is for the purchase of 210 North Finley Avenue which is going to be 100% affordable senior citizen housing project
and this was part of round three. This was part of round three and as I say it went back to the original round three which was overturned by the court which I think was like 2012 uh and David Zimmerman had it as part of the that original third round plan. So really it goes back 13 or 14 years. Wow. Okay. Um so would anyone like to be heard on this ordinance? Seeing none, I will close the public hearing. Um I got it in front of me if you want me to move it.
Sure. I move to pass ordinance 2026-2044 on final reading and adopt as published. I'll second. Roll call, please. Mr. Romero, yes. Mr. Ruse, yes. Mr. Zon, yes. Mr. Trainer, yes. Missra, abstain. Mr. Zazino, yes. All right. So, um, when do we do the bond sale? Do we know? Yeah, I don't think I don't think we know. This is just making the appropriation. I'm not sure when the bond sale will be with the ban sale.
Yeah. Okay. All right. Well, thank you, Jack, for all the time invested in this. It was so many years of negotiations. It's was a long haul getting there, but it was. Thank you. Yeah. I'm glad fair share has given us the time to get this done since it was round three. Um all righty. Do I have a motion to uh motion to adjurnn? There you go. Second. All in favor? I I All right. Thank you. Thanks guys. Have a good evening. Good night everyone. Gone. See my
