City Council - Regular Meeting

This is impressive. Thank you very much. approving a year-over-many meeting of the city, city of Illinois, and town of Illinois for consolidation of foreign emergency medical services. Beginning early this year, the city and the town of Illinois together made several meetings over the course of the month to work on 24-5 fire suppression efforts for emergency consolidation services. On February 13th, the committee agreed to enter into discussions on March 3rd. The parties agreed to enter into a co-chairing agreement on violating class recommendations of the plan. The plans have reached the Confirmation of Fire and EMS Agreement. There will be one single department serving both communities. Governments and policies will be shared by the communities, being shared with all regards to municipal and municipal governments. Both communities are represented by the Joint Fire Commission and will oversee the planning of who may receive the discipline personnel. So a community participates on the service advisory committee, which will review the carbon operations and budget. And then costs are going to be advocated in an objective formula each year about the value of carbon for its own contribution and also certainly the carbon revenue at its best. I do want to thank seven individuals that are part of this process. As far as receiving, I believe that John is still here. John Weiser, the Town Administrator. Aaron, Fire Chief Ben Crone. Fire Chief Aaron, Fire Chief Farley from the City of Beloit. And also Mayor Director Eric Miller in the back there. As those other individuals, but most importantly, I think I want to thank the entire leading three and the entire City of San Juan for their support of both departments. that I think are integral in trying to work out this agreement and the claim at this table with the goal of making this a foundation work. We are very excited about this opportunity for both the Community Award and the City Council to recognize this as an opportunity for racial relations that does not see the likes of inductees. I think it's important to make sure that we are demanding our students, not our residents, to make this agreement work and that's for us. And so I just want to thank you again I think we have left on the Greenlandia position we shared earlier. That's all I want to share with us right there, so I just want to give a small mention of that. And at the end of the proposal, I'm going to conclude, the people of the community in the community, there's just so much that I need to adjust to, you know, what they're doing, how they're feeling, how they're not doing it. And the problem I see, what they've heard, what they've heard with me, is that it's, it's, it's the people's problem. And so, the, the, the bigger issues that I'm, I'm just wondering if I'm specifically a person for I'm going to summarize by saying that I'm very grateful for the kind of scholars that gave me a lot of guidance. The take-away came out today. For me, it was important for us to have a conversation, because I think we have to be transparent in the community about what we're looking at. It would make no sense if we didn't have a lot of information about it. And for me, that means doing that before . And we can do what we can at the moment. I do something that's not involved working in . And let me just say, if that's the only thing, we don't have the power to do it. We could do a 12-month long plan. And we could do an additional six months back-to-back one. But we could do it in a very specific way. In order to do a working plan, and fortunately, You have to have a certified health professional having provided, if it's a public health professional, work for 30 to a year, having said that there's a concern for public health, for public health issues. If we were to do a report with North Carolina, those are things that we have to work on. Some people have called in for exodus plates before the agenda. The state's actually done this pretty quickly. If we were to bring Florida North Carolina to court, it requires a classroom notice, So I just want to be clear to folks that if we look at what we can do and what we shouldn't do, that I think we should probably look at protecting ordinances, and I would be supportive of looking at it more time. But what that looks like, we have to do it in a way that follows the law and follows what we've been following. Also, this is really, for the city, a landing system. You know, there's a lot of things. Utilities, air quality, very important issues. But the state really better, you know, get off and take care of it. They need to come back to the session floor, get to work next year at the regular emergency center. When it comes to a team, there's a few things that we can't do. We can look at noise. We can look at length. We can look at sound. These are things that we could build into our zoning code. We could look at, hey, if we have to pick projects, Maybe we should require people to service permit to make them a direct force of duty. What's going to happen if you go away? Are you going to give us ideas of things that we can address? So for me, I just want to start by saying a lot of what I have the hope to do and what I can do. And I'll just actually say that I'm thinking of these are complex questions in terms of working through what if development people were to know what it would look like, which is why I do think that you're probably smart to have the ability potentially sound confusing for a moratorium, but if we had a case study, we'd be clear about what we'd be getting out of it. And that's kind of where I'm coming from. I'm going to have this kind of conversation publicly, openly, because I can look about the safety systems we have at the time for the government. Everybody's hearing through a group of records requests, and I've come down and tried to piece things together. I can hear the voice. We have great policy. We like to talk to each other.
