I have to ask, is this the public picture that we want for Blair? I understand the actions and comments of members of the community or the media as individuals are not always responsible for our police department. However, these comments raise important questions about public trust in the department, communication and collaboration between law enforcement agencies or at least those things, and whether leaders maintain community trust and feel safe. I want to clarify this. I admit that we do have some great employees. I respect the employees who come every day and do their job professionally and with full of affection. However, Belair deserves to get a leader who makes the right, transparent, and collaborative command decisions. I ask the commissioners to take this concern seriously and independently evaluate whether the leadership of the Bayer Police Department currently serves this community as it should. I am not here as a politician. I am here as a caring parent and a member of the community.
