Good. Okay, let's go ahead and call the uh council meeting committee to order. April 12th, May 12th, I'm sorry. Stand prayer. I pledge allegiance to the flag, United States of America, to the stands, one nation under God, indivisible, liberty and justice for all. Bow your heads. Yes. Lord, we come to you today just asking for your continued protection and guidance. Let us do what is best for the city and everyone within that. Amen. Amen.

0:41 – 1:260

Okay. First will be public comment. Any public comment? Want to say anything before we start? Okay. Moving right along with the minutes for April 14th. First item on the agenda. I make motions. I have a motion tread. Is there a second? I'll second. All in favor? Post cars claims for April 14th, 2026 through May 2026, May the 12th. Motion to approve. Motion to approve. I got a second.

1:220

Motion second by Stacy. All in favor? I opposed. Motion carries.

1:34 – 2:000

All business. Old business will be orders 20265 authorizing the city to issue taxable income revenue bonds final reading.

2:03 – 2:420

Has anything changed since the first reading? Yes, sir. Josh, no. No. Anybody have any questions? Any questions on that? If not, I'll motion to approve final reading. I have a motion for the final reading m second from Stacy. All in favor? I opposed. Motion carries. Next item will be ordinance- 2022-06 authorizing the city's county economic revenue series final reading.

2:41 – 3:050

Same thing for that. Nothing's changed from the first chang. We'll make a motion to approve that as well. Second. Motion preer, second by Joel. All in favor? Opposed? Motion carries. Next item under Biz will be resolution 2026-02 approving an order of Austin Plan Commission expanding.

3:090

Would you all like to say anything about this?

3:12 – 4:270

If you Yeah. Yeah. So, this is just the uh resolution to you had two economic development areas for your housing test. One for Gork Woods, one for you know, Meadow Brook, but also included a bunch of other parcels um with with Josh and Mayor Tilly and the city team. We reviewed it. Um so, it's we're consolidating that economic development area um which you have to have as your foundation and then you put your allocation areas kind of on top of that. So you'll still have two separate allocation areas where tip revenues go into each fund. One being, you know, the the the original res residential one that includes mebrook and then the north one. Um but this consolidates the EDA. It also kind of removes some parcels that didn't make sense to uh be in the because they're commercial properties and you can't generate commercial revenues into a housing tip. So just clean up a few things there. Um the redevelopment commission approved a declaratory resolution. Planning commission approved their step. Um this is your step to approve those changes. Next step would be a public hearing resolution back at the redevelopment commission. That's the process to see. Do you have anything to add?

4:27 – 5:100

Any questions? Okay. Motion to approve. I'll make a motion. I'll second. Motion. My second motion by Stacy. Seconded by Trevor. All in favor? Opposed? Motion carries. It's all the old the old business old business. Just touch on the cleanup. Last week was the first week. This past Thursday, Friday, this will be Saturday. This week will be the last week of it. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, same time, 7 to two. Yep.

5:08 – 5:370

Actually, we done uh I think we had enough brought uh to fill five dumpsters approximately right at five dumpsters. I can't remember exactly how many loads. He said 80 something loads. 80 something loads, four and a half dumpsters or something like that, I think. So, it's quite a bit. I mean, I'm really pleased with the turnout. So, I hope we take advantage of it this time as well. So, a lot more than last year already at this time. So, we're doing well. Good deal.

5:34 – 5:590

And the only other thing in our old business is the uh the dunking kind of was on standby there for a while. They said they having some bad soil. So, now they've been approved to dig out deeper and they just wait on Dun to make that decision. So, now they're going to they got the approval. So, we'll be back at that in the near future. Did they get a timeline or anything?

5:56 – 6:400

No, they did not. just Tyler just brought us to life that he just got a call back from them this morning. So he didn't give a timeline that I heard. He didn't say that this morning in the board works meeting other than that. I don't know if you got anything else. Uh old business. Uh got the new electric bill for the Keep update on that one. It keeps getting better. It went from $1,200 last month. It was $84 this month. Oh wow. So paying off. It's pay It's a big difference from 10,000 in November. So if those are correct numbers.

6:37 – 7:120

Yeah. I'm just telling you what the bill said random. So big difference. Big big difference. Next month they might say whoops. Yeah. I'm afraid I'm not digging too deep into the weeds there. And then in new business, I have asked Jason Siberty to work with us on uh figuring out what kind of percentage rate as we move forward in the Senate roll back one. Um what kind of rate we're going to have to be looking at

7:09 – 7:420

in the future to replace revenue uh from Senator Act one cuts to us. So, I ask them to take a look and we're going we're supposed to have a meeting with the county sometime this year. It's called a must uh task force. I don't know what that you know, but I've talked to a couple councilman uh county councilman they've not said they've not really talked about on their end. So, Oh, they haven't.

7:40 – 8:540

Yeah. So, it' be something that my understanding I don't any of us can go to be a part of. So just something we need to keeping eye on as we move forward. That's all I have. I'd say even if they don't want to do the formal bus um because what that is is supposed to be one council member and then clerk treasurer from all cities and towns to form a a document to submit to the state legislators by the end of the year on you know what kind of agreement the whole county would agree to for the new blood structure even if they don't want to go through the exercise I think it's still exercise for the city the county kind of get together and talk about the different options um that the city and the county has because you know you could opt in your own 1.2% rate or you could opt into their county municipal rate and and that's what we're running. We're going to see which is the best option for the city. the problems if you off to the county um municipal rate year u at the mercy of the county council

8:51 – 9:300

whether they agree to let you in and at how much. So that's where it's good to have those communications because a lot of cities and towns we're finding you gain more revenue by opting in. But again, the downside is that you're Yeah, I know when uh when the aim Matt Galler talked about it and he, you know, they're wanting to know, let them know who's who we reach out to and he says, you know, more people the mayor, but we'll see as we move forward.

9:27 – 9:470

So, nobody responded. No, I I spoke with a couple councilmen and they've not had anything to say about it yet so far. I don't think they were aware of it, but okay. Any other new business?

9:53 – 10:160

Mr. Turn have anything? I do not. Okay. gentleman have anything else to bring up? I'll entertain a motion to journ motion second. Motion a second. All in favor? Opposed? Motion carries.
