Board and Commission Volunteer Applications

The City of Albemarle has several boards and commissions which provide opportunities for members of the public to provide oversight and support for City business. City Council appoints individuals to serve on these boards and commissions. Anyone interested in serving on a board or commission should submit a volunteer application. Applications can be submitted at any time and remain active for 12 months. June 30, 2026 Vacancies: - Walk of Fame - 3 seats - Planning and Zoning - 3 seats - Historic Resources Commission - 3 seats - Tree Commission - 2 seats (Currently vacant - One seat) - Parks and Recreation - District 1 seat, 2 At-Large seats (Currently vacant - District 3 seat) - Albemarle Downtown Development - 5 seats
