Good morning. Um, I would like to call to order the public hearing on local law G of 2026. The time is 11:02. This public hearing is being held to allow the general public to provide testimony in opposition of local law GM of 2026 which is currently before the mayor for consideration. The title of the local law reads as follows. A local law establishing an office of violence prevention and amending chapter 183 equity agenda of the code of the city of Albany in relation to the violence prevention task force. Present today we have Deputy Mayor Chris Ellis, myself Shenica Jackson, city clerk, should anyone have testimony. Again, this public hearing is being held in support or in opposition on local law G of 2026, which is currently before the mayor for consideration. This public hearing was appropriately noticed and the full text can be found on our web page at www.awmanny.gov in the common council section under public hearings. At this time, no one has signed up to submit any testimony or has appeared in person to to provide public comment. We will take a brief five minute um pause to allow those that are traveling to arrive and to park.
