Commissioner Mark Tapley here. Madame Mayor, we have a quorum. Thank you. Um we're going to have the invocation and the pledge of allegiance. Um, our uh, city clerk is going to do the invocation and um, uh, Commissioner Bernett is going to do the pledge.
Dear heavenly father, we thank you for this beautiful day that you have um, given to us. We thank you for the clouds up above, dear Lord, and the cooler weather. Dear God, we ask that you will be with everyone here uh, represented tonight. um that you will be with a commission, dear Lord, and that you will guide them um in decisions, difficult decisions that they uh may have to make, dear Lord. Um we ask, dear God, for your blessings over them, for your blessings over city staff as well. And dear Lord, we thank you um for your love and your mercy on us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen.

And on the agenda is a motion to recess into executive close session uh pursuant to NMSA1 1978 1015-1H2 for the purpose of discussing limited personnel matters city manager transition. And uh do I have a motion?

Um the mayor called the the special meeting. Okay. Thank you. I'll make a motion to recess into exact session. Second. Okay. It's been um motion by um Mayor Pro Tim Rearen and second by Commissioner Hernandez. Did I Did I say recess or adjourn? He said recess. Okay.

As we discussed in close session, different options on the transition of the city manager. I feel um we should accept the terms of the settlement which include a 60-day termination to provide the city time to transition to a new city manager. Are we in agreement? The attorneys in there told us we need to make a motion.

The items that were on the agenda is to discuss in the close session for the purpose of discussing limited personnel matters to the city manager's transition
and the motion that needs to be made. I'll make a motion to accept the additional terms proposed by Dr. Stephanie Hernandez through the EEOC. Do I have a second? Second.
Okay. The motion has been made by Mayor Pro Tim Rearen and it has been second by Commissioner Bernett and we're going to put it to the vote. And it has been um passed 7 to zero. Do I have a motion to um adjourn? So moved.
