City Commission - Special Meeting

I call this meeting uh to order on April 7th, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. Uh clerk, would you please call the role? Mayor Sharon McDonald here. Mayor Prom Josh Rearden here. Commissioner Baxter Patio here. Commissioner Steven Bernett here. Commissioner Warren Robinson here. Commissioner Al Hernandez here. Commissioner Mark Tapley is absent. Madame Mayor, we have quorum. Thank you. Um the invocation is going to be done by uh Commissioner Warren Robinson. And the pledge of allegiance is going to be by Commissioner Hernandez.

Join me in prayer. Eternal heavenly father, we invite your presence. We invite your wisdom. We invite your knowledge. And we invite your peace. Lord, give us what we need to be effective, to have integrity, to make good choices, to bless the citizens of this city. Even though we're imperfect, Lord, we ask for your perfect understanding that we may work together and bring a sense of order and progress to this city. Bless us with the problems that we have to solve and the challenges that come before us. Give us the strength to be kind to one another and to treat each other with grace so that kindness and grace may come to us. bless us to do your work. In your son's holy name we pray. Amen.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. I and the vote passes 6. Um on the agenda we have uh adjourn into executive session in compliance with 10-15-1H2 NMSA1978 as amended to discuss limited personnel manners matters hiring of the city manager. Can I get a motion? So moved.
