“Yes. So weekend before, we had spouses backing the blue golf event. They probably won't ask me and my team to come back anytime soon. Green's held up partially. But what a great event. There was tons of people there. It raised tons of money. Really looking forward for that event next year. “I had an opportunity to talk to Steve about this a couple months ago and just seeing the vision a couple months ago and seeing it come together and seeing it finally here, it's superb. These type of things that staff and everybody collectively coming together look at long term, how we're going to save money as we go forward, it's the initiatives that need to be done. “So TPO was actually a really good meeting. We were talking about what is sitting in Congress right now at the federal level as far as future funding. um it's in the house uh to be voted on if this funding goes through um it brings a 9.6 percent increase to the tpo locally as far as monies that 9.6 ends up being about a 45 million dollar increase per year to us it's absolutely huge um and then you hear the the numbers that just scare you you know it's 580 billion dollar budget they're voting on as they push forward with it. But 9% increase to us. That money can definitely be used on roadways.…”

But then I see on the news while I'm in that country that Hawaii took 43 inches of rain in a 48 hour period.”

“That one perfect storm hit there. The smallest wake was 29 inches on the lower banks, but 43 inches in a 48 hour period. And that just terrifies me to hear those numbers. So thank you for what you're doing and the coalition and what they're doing. Staff, keep doing what you guys are doing, the brainstorming coming about and taking it to the other cities so that we can all collaborate to make the money that we do get works the best.
