“Thank you, Mayor. If it's meaningful to you, please join me in a moment of prayer. God, creator and sustainer of life, we ask your presence with us today. Grant us clarity of mind, generosity of spirit as we do the work before us. In our deliberations and decisions, remind us to always seek the common good, to listen for the voices of those who often go unheard, and to work together toward a city that reflects dignity, opportunity, and hope for all. This we pray.”

“Thank you, Mayor. Just want to mention about item six coming up that I've had conversation with both the developer, the community and the staff here, just as we've been wanting to make sure everyone was on the same page and hear input from the community. So just want to share those those communication efforts in our ex parte.”

“Thank you. Thank you, Mayor. I refer this item, as was mentioned, the Planning Commission did approve this project and did make some... suggested conditions of approval and so we just want to take the time to get those right and I felt like it wasn't quite clear so I asked that to be referred to the the City Council just so that we could get very focused on what those conditions would look like and to make sure that it was the safest possible space if we are going to have to make a median break and And for a crosswalk, and it looks like city staff did a phenomenal job with that and worked…”

“uncertainty here. So sometimes that means there's a little bit more work to do. If it would be useful to send this to the Finance Committee for more fleshing out, I'd be happy to take it and do some more work. I would second that. And if other certain folks have an interest to sit in that space and to substitute in, Be happy to have that happen as well, so It sounds like there was a appetite so I'll move that we move take this to finance committee for more vetting apologies for the all the work and delay, but I Think that might be the better route than to try and make decisions on the fly up…”

“When we say repeal, essentially we just mean modify. Repeal the current one and modify it to create a new one. With the new language, amend to modify.”

“Well, my gut says, why don't we then have this, the portion that you would like that has to do with the cleanup, why doesn't that come back to the next council meeting as its own approval where folks will have time to get through and read it, and then the other stuff will go to committee? I feel like that's probably cleaner than us trying to do stuff on the fly, unless there's an urgent, urgent thing in the next two weeks or three weeks.”

“Sorry, I'm not trying to belabor this I think that's what the motion was already is to move one through and put the rest But it seems like there's language embedded in the resolution that needs three to go through on some level. Correct. But not fully.”

And as Councilmember Hernandez said, we were able to attend the Alvord Child Nutrition Services Open House where we were able to sample some food i can say i know that all the food that is served tastes very good not not because i sampled all of it but impossibly and so take the opportunity now to just thank all the staff that serve those students the teachers and the staff that do remarkable work day in and day out in our school districts want to thank them…”
