“Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Um, so we have a beautiful proclamation on consent tonight for the celebration of agenda. This is 1 of my favorite events. It's a celebration of girls and women and to cry and to cry and diaspora this year. The celebration is next Sunday, September 6th and Monday, September 7th. So there will not be a council meeting to run this at that time. But I hope this year's event is as special as ever. Thank you so much.”

“Thank you. So after consistent feedback from my constituents, I see it as my responsibility to ensure that the public is aware of every tax dollar being approved as an expenditure and payment of funds for a settlement with the City and County of Denver. My office is tracking every dollar by department and has a running total. And with the approval of 26-1268 tonight, the City will approve settlements in the amount of 125,000 to settle cases brought against the Denver police department. The approval of these items tonight brings the 2026 total for taxpayer dollars and city settlements to…”

“All right. Thank you so much. So tonight, I have the incredible opportunity of recognizing two people who have become such a part of a beautiful community for me and a part of my community, both Tiffany and Gabrielle, the founders of Vibes in the Park. I've had the privilege of working with and alongside of you both for almost three years now, which is wild to think about. And over those three years, my support for Vibes in the Park has absolutely grown. When we first started working together, I remember you all were hosting Vibes in the Park at City Park and you reached out to my council…”

“Thank you. I actually just wanted to say congratulations to the Zion Senior Center and Community Resource Center for these dollars. They're much overdue and available for really important and important critical facility improvements for each of you, for the facility overall, including the fire alarms, the plumbing, the electrical lighting, flooring, bathroom, and then ADA accessibility upgrades to ensure that the building remains safe. This is such a community hub, a space of gathering, a space where people come together as seniors, it's multi-generational, you can learn to sew, which I'm…”

“Thank you. Council Member Lewis. Hi. Thank you so much. I just have a few questions about the metrics that do exist. Can you talk about the metrics that exist in this contract currently and what you all are thinking about in terms of what's missing and what's going to improve that you all might be looking to include in the RFP moving forward? Yes. Thank you.”

“Thank you. Council Member Lewis. Thank you so much. So first I'd like to thank everyone who attended our Not Town Hall Town Hall, which was a combination of a town hall and a bowling event. We had some really in-depth conversations, heard a lot of really good ideas about how to address the issues people see within our district and across the city. And we had some fun in between. It was a great time. And thank you to the wonderful staff at FlightCo for helping to ensure that the event went smoothly. It was fantastic. I also want to make folks aware that Vibes in the Park is happening. And so…”

“Okay, so quick follow up because in the file materials, it reads, amends a contract with Sunnyside Up Solutions LLC to add $600,000 for a new total of 1 million and to add five years for a new end date of 12-31-2031. Is that, was that filed incorrectly? Because you said it was just years, not money, but it's money in the filed materials.”

“Yeah, no, I understand that. So what is the impact of the original $400,000 contract? Like, what has that been, and what was the decision – to move from the 400 to the additional 600,000 made.”

“Yeah, no, I'm not challenging them. I wanted to understand what the results from the contract were and what was the reason for the increase. I understand that from a marketing and comms perspective as well as I studied it in school. And so I wasn't challenging what the numbers were on the table. I wanted to understand what the return on that investment was. And my final question for you is, can you help me to understand like as we're increasing this contract, how that scales with the layoffs? How did those two interface or interact? Because it sounds like we laid off folks and now we are…”
