The year was the lions club and citizens of the year was, we received help from the, uh, from rotary, but, uh, real quick, just two more things. Uh, All we have left is to really finalize the agenda and videos we're going to do there. But council, I'd like to ask you guys to help sell tickets. It's not…”

“Well, if you need more time, some of these are paragraphs, some are short, but if you need a minute to read it, we can wait. It shouldn't take us that long. The rest of the nominations are kind of short. But it's only three per, and there's only five awards. But if you need more time, we can give it to you. We need to do it tonight because we have to order the awards.”

“Oh, yes, definitely. I'll send an email tomorrow. And, again, if we fill it up really quickly, we can open it up to take up the whole meeting floor of the ballot, which would be nice. We can expand it.”

“And the date again? October 22nd. And it'll be from 6 to 8.30 because we don't want it to be long event people. It's a school night, a Thursday night. And we made sure there were no events from any of the organizations or the school district. So it's a good night. No church, no football or anything. So if you're watching at home, buy your ticket now.”

“Thank you, Mr. Mayor. For staff, I'd say maybe in the future, because we have so much stuff right now on a backlog, maybe next year looking into this, because I think there is a line, obviously, between restaurants and entertainment venue, but also in some cases that are obviously we don't need extra red tape. maybe we can empower staff to make that distinction more clearly, like we can make it easier for you to do that. So maybe next year when we catch up on some of these backlogs, we can get to that item.”

“Well, I don't need a response. I was just saying in the future we can discuss it. Sorry, I wasn't looking. I was just saying as a council, we need to empower you all if we think it's too much red tape. Yeah. Yeah, I'm not saying you did anything wrong. I was saying we, council, need to clarify it if we think it does or just leave it if we agree.”

“Yeah, maybe we disagree. Y'all can make a motion to amend. I was going to move to approve H3 as presented. I don't think we need the red tape. It isn't big enough to really become a pool hall, but if y'all want to amend it, that's fine. But my motion is to approve it as presented. Okay.”
