First of all, I want to let everybody know about an event that's going to be tomorrow, September 22nd. It's Coffee with a Cop. And our police department is doing that in conjunction with Starbucks. So it's going to be at the Starbucks at 975 3rd Street South from 10 a.m. to 1130 a.m. So I think that'd be a great opportunity to go out and have some coffee with some of our amazing police officers. Also want to let everybody know that Beaches Watch is having a community meeting on Wednesday, October…”

“To follow up, that was a concern that I had as well. And so my question would be, If we know we're going to get a quote from the current provider in August, as well as any of the others, right, is what you're saying, right? None of them will be able to do quotes until August. Is there a reason why we couldn't do next year, could do an RFP? Go ahead and do an RFP 120 days out or whatever, right? And then our current provider just responds with a quote, like, like any of the other providers would, so that we'd be in a position to consider multiple quotes instead of just one. Is that possible?”

“Thank you, Vice Mayor. Wanted to give a shout out to our communications department and our public works department for the Take Two Tuesday that was posted today. It's about the 10th Street Improvement Project, and it is so interesting. And I know probably a lot of people are probably thinking, oh, okay, well, that's Who cares about public works projects? But this project is running a 700-foot bore from Gonzales Park all the way under Beach Boulevard and then on 10th Street to the other side. So this 700 feet of pipe is replacing wastewater pipe that is old infrastructure. so it can get to…”

“No question. I just want to say that I agree with this because, you know, we've had Gary and Victor in those alternate positions. And the purpose of that is so that they can learn and be prepared to move into the actual seat. So I think this is a good thing to do. And I fully support it.”
