“We're doing questions for Paul first. I'm going to go to questions for Paul, and then I'll make my comments. Paul, what's the current balance approximately in the CITT fund? Is it positive or is it negative?”

“So current on hand funds to be expended tomorrow because this service continues tomorrow. What's that on hand funds in the CITT fund?”

    Village Commission · Jun 18, 2026

  5. Play at 1:12:21
“Zero. So we have no money in CITT. So every dollar we spend would come out of which fund?”

    Village Commission · Jun 18, 2026

  6. Play at 1:12:38
“And what's the current O from CIT to the general fund? How much does the CIT owe the general fund right now?”

    Village Commission · Jun 18, 2026

  7. Play at 1:12:53
“And what's the number that is projected if we continue freebies through the rest of the year to be owed by the end of this fiscal?”

    Village Commission · Jun 18, 2026

  8. Play at 1:13:06
“We're going to round out about $250,000 in the whole for CITT, correct? Correct.”

    Village Commission · Jun 18, 2026

  9. Play at 1:13:14
“We're going to end up about $250,000 negative in that balance by the end of the year, correct?”

    Village Commission · Jun 18, 2026

  10. Play at 1:13:34
“Okay. So it's already in the budget to budget it from the.”

“I understand, but right now, I'll quote you here and say that last week when we talked about this, you said it's a long uphill battle to get the county to release the funds. Yes. What would be the projected O from CITT to the general fund at the end of the fiscal?”

    Village Commission · Jun 18, 2026

  12. Play at 1:27:45
“I haven't got a chance to speak and I see my breath here because I'm a no vote, but I want it to be on the record why I'm a no vote before we vote. So ridership, 2023, we're at 6,205 riders. In 2024, that dropped to 5,337. That represents a 13% decrease. 2025, that dropped to 4,183, a 21% increase, or decrease, excuse me, from 2024 to 2025. In 2026, we don't have a complete year, but in the first quarter, we have 840 riders. That's a 12% decrease. That shows from 2023 to 2025, our completed years, a 34% decrease over three years. I tried to compare this to our neighboring municipalities. I…”

“So I'm not advocating for this, but I will point out that it says in our charter, we're allowed to not have a July meeting and take a vacation. Just saying, just. So everyone, I'm not advocating for this. It's just a lesson of our charter. It's in there that the crafters of our charter even thought this could be a problem.”

    Village Commission · Jun 16, 2026

  14. Play at 20:14
“What's the noticing requirement for this special meeting? Is it 24 hours, or is it 24 hours?”

    Village Commission · Jun 16, 2026

  15. Play at 20:41
“That would be my ultimate concern is if you even have any, if this passes, any inclination of staff trying to resurrect this. I'm sure they've already had conversations with the state, the county. Sure. Time is of the essence, and I wouldn't expect to pass this on June 30th and then see...”

“I would select a date if you're calling this special meeting and go from there. I'm not going to support it because I did not extend that meeting. I voted no to extend that meeting. I understand. And so did Commissioner Gonzalez. I'm not going to support a special call meeting because I didn't support continuing the meeting that we had. So the votes are the votes. If you would like to call on Mr. Mayor, you're more than within your rights to, and we could pick a date that we're all available, but time is of the essence for administration.”

    Village Commission · Jun 16, 2026

“Basically, yes. If you want facts and figures, you have to ask for them.”

  18. Play at 23:57
“I'm fine with whatever's convenient for everyone here because I've done ample research on this topic. I have my facts and figures, so I'll have to be here until your vacation. I'm ready to go.”
