I brought this forward over the last years I've been on council because it's important to me as a special education teacher to recognize this, and I want to thank Council Member Algy for telling his story, because I think real stories about neurodivergence are important for people to hear and understand, and understand that bullying is not okay. “Yeah, well, so I'll just say that I've had family members that have been affected by breast cancer, but I think it's a good month to remember. I think the NFL always shows us when we're watching football on Sundays at the crucial catch. And there's all the different colors now, different cancer screenings and cancer awareness that we can be aware of. So it's a good time for us just to remember that we should be making sure that we schedule our screenings with our health care providers just to make sure that we're catching these things early or before they start.”
