Commissioner O'Dell? Thank you, Chairwoman. This isn't directed at you at all. Okay. When we were in committee Wednesday, I thought that this item had to do with upgrades. And as I started studying and reading a little bit more, I realized that this is actually a consulting company to do projects. So what was the first company that was doing this before? Before this company?
Accenture, okay. And so my next question is, why is this deemed a single source award when there is numerous other companies that could have taken on this? How did they get a single source bid award on that?

Okay. We might need to address that. And this leads me to one more question. The funding for this is coming out of CIP. How is a consultant or someone that is an implementer being paid with capital dollars? Because I thought capital was for buildings, for items that lasted 10 years, software, that stuff.
Thank you. To the administration, I'm for technology to assist and make our jobs easier. Oracle, in my humble opinion, has not met my expectations, to put it mildly. So before I would vote to put more dollars to provide for critical subject matter expertise and specialized resources to a program that isn't meeting our expectations, number one, I need Exhibit A. I still don't have that. It's not in our system. So I don't know what the scope of work for this company is. We did the funding. We need accurate statements so that departments and elected officials and this body can do our fiduciary…
Yes, this item came down with a favorable recommendation.
Y'all know I'm short, so I have to bring this down a little bit. For those of you in the audience, Reverend Melvin D. Watkins, Jr., the senior pastor of Mount Vernon Baptist Church, is our official chaplain of the day. May I preach now? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Absolutely. Pastor, thank you so much for praying for us. In the name of Jesus, all-powerful name of Jesus, thank you.
Chair Avant, Commissioners, members of our audience, the most important people here. When you walked in on this side of the building, when you walked up the stairs, You saw a table, it's called the missing man table, and we'll talk about that a little bit later. So, whereas it is appropriate for this esteemed Board of Commissioners to honor and recognize distinguished individuals whose tireless efforts and wavering dedication has made a significant and lasting impact on the lives of other Shelby County, Tennessee residents. The United States has fought in numerous wars and conflicts…
So accepting this resolution is VFW Post Commander Eugene from the Millington VFW and he's going to tell you very briefly a little bit about our missing man table.
First, I'd like to thank both parties for coming together on this short, short time frame to take care of our inmates and our community. So thank you both for that. Second, a lot of times this body is the last one to know if there's issues going on. Please do not hesitate either side. both parties. Let us know anything that we can do to help solve any problems. I assure you this body is ready to help. And last, I would like to be added as a sponsor.
Commissioner O'Dell. Good morning, Chief Lindsay. Thank you. Do we need to push this to the heel of the meeting? No, we're good?
Claire Call. I stepped out of the room for a minute, so I'm not sure if we've already addressed this, but happy birthday. Oh, thank you.
Chair, may I have a moment of personal privilege? Yes, you may. Thank you. Good morning, everyone. Before we start our committee, I just wanted to remind everyone that this Friday, September 11th, we will take a few moments to remember the events of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center Towers 1 and 2, the Pentagon, and the heroes on board Flight 93. This is 25 years later. We should realize that anyone younger than about 26 or 27 years old don't get teary-eyed and get that feeling in the pit of your stomach. or have ever heard the unusual sound of no planes in the air. Many citizens…
Good morning. I would like to make a motion to amend this resolution as a scribbler's error. In the caption, we need to remove the words, the purchase of. We don't purchase individuals, so if we can just remove that error in our caption so that this can remain on the consent agenda if it's approved. Thank you.
And to the commissioners and the public, I would like to transparently disclose that I work for the Shelby County Sheriff's Office very proudly. I've been advised by the county attorney staff that it's okay for me to vote on this item. Thank you.

You're welcome. So for the public, when their inmates come in, they are addressed by a doctor for these, and these are very, in-depth physicals from what I understand. The intermediate care step-down, that is a great idea. I don't know who came up with that. And the sheriff's office is on board for the 201 side. That is fabulous. I love it. Telehealth, I love it. Is there a way to track the telehealth to see how many are requested, how many are fulfilled, how many are handled over telehealth versus actually have to go physically in with a doctor?
Wonderful. That's fabulous. That will be really, really good for transparency with our public. So I like that. My only other question is... The, the contract is going through the, the mayor's administration. How does the Wexford contract deal with the sheriff's office in that they're not the oversight for, or, or are they, or how does that work? Because if the sheriff doesn't have authority to direct them to do whatever, how does that work?
Commissioner O'Dell. Good morning, if it still is morning, yes. Attorney Blunt. All right. I'm going to take this a little lighthearted. I love the questions that they have asked you, and they are all very appropriate, but I've got one for you.
If you could wave a magic wand in the state of Tennessee and change or create any criminal or civil law, what would it be?
All right, one more question. If you could choose one song to play every time you walk in a room, what would you choose?
Just the courtroom. We'll stick with the courtroom.
Thank you. Thank you for your willingness to serve. Thank you.
Good morning. Attorney Cameron. Before I forget, thank you for your willingness to serve. And I love your last comment. Okay. So here's your question. Because of your work in environmental court and your yappy hour animal law class with Memphis PD, if you had a magic wand, what law would you change or create to help animal control in Shelby County and or Memphis?
