“Thank you, Mayor. Whereas throughout much of California, cities, counties, and stewardship organizations recognize Creek Week as an annual celebration of our creeks, watersheds, and the ocean, and whereas the 238 creeks and approximately 360,000 residents of the Russian River watershed are connected and mutually support each other, making the Russian River and its tributaries important resources to the people of Sonoma and Mendocino counties, And whereas pollution in the form of trash and debris, chemicals, nutrients, and sediment degrade the quality of life and the quality of resources…”

“I would love to, Mayor. So I have a few things to report. One, SCTCA met yesterday awarding a number of funding cycle two grant awards to a city road bicycle pedestrian and transit projects totaling $25 million. These include five projects that council had approved for staff submittal last year, including improvements to Stony Point Road, the Joe Redota Trail, Cleveland Avenue, a shared use path on Farmer's Lane Extension right of way, and further study for improvements on Petaluma Hill Road and Santa Rosa Avenue. So we are very happy about that. And yesterday I had the opportunity to go on a…”

“First, I'd just like to say hello to your mother. Too bad she wasn't here last week, because then she could have met my mother. So I think we're taking turns on sharing what we do here for the city. I'm excited to appoint Nadia King to Arts in Public Places. Nadia is a filmmaker, a photographer, a writer, and a substitute teacher for Sonoma County Office of Education. So I would just like to thank her for stepping up and wanting to support the city and what we're doing here. Also wanna wish Grant Davis from Sonoma Water a very happy retirement. The WAC and TAC met yesterday, Monday, August…”

“Thank you. First, I'd just like to thank staff for all their hard work, even if sometimes you don't see the fruits of the labor directly. Thank you for jumping through the hoops and all the hard work that you do. And with that, I'd like to make a motion to adopt resolution as presented by staff.”

“Yes, thank you, Mayor. I just wanted to say that I believe we need housing for everyone. So when you say affordable housing, it really is what people can afford. I hear Council Member Benuelos, but really what happens is if we don't have the middle the middle housing that people that can afford a little bit more stay stuck in what is available for the middle housing. So it makes it difficult for people that's all they can afford. So having incentives and programs like this I think is very important. But we also need places like the Felix in different places for people that can afford it so…”

“Thank you, Mayor. So tell me if I'm on the right track with my notes and I'm giving you what it is that you are requesting. So for TDM, I would like to see all priority development areas. If we can do that, I would be more comfortable with that. For parking maximums, I would like to see I put a color, the orange category, but partial consistency or limited consistency. I find it very difficult for residents, especially when they're unable to find parking and how that maybe impacts other residential areas when they don't have parking at their complex. And then I'm okay with holding off for…”

“Thank you, Mayor. I have the utmost confidence in your staff and what you've done thus far. So I will say that I am okay with productivity. I think that it's very important that when we do something, we try to do it well instead of doing a lot and not doing it well. But I do realize that people rely on public transportation, and right now that's not necessarily our strong point. So I would like to get it so it is our strong point. I know that you guys are creative, you're innovative, and you'll find a way to provide or to give people alternatives for other means of transportation or other…”

“I did wanna say really quickly, I understand that this may be a burden on people that are lower socioeconomic, but I would also like to say that I had the opportunity of doing a ride along with police last week, I believe it was, and many of the calls that I received were from low-income housing complexes. And so, whether you're rich or you're poor, when you call 911, when you need an emergency, when there's an emergency, when you've been violated, regardless how you've been violated, if that's someone coming in your house uninvited, whether that's by a domestic partner, whatever the case,…”

“Thank you. I'd also like to make a motion for a resolution of the Council of the City of Santa Rosa calling a municipal election on November 3rd, 2026 to submit a measure to the registered voters of the city on the reauthorization of a general sales tax and requesting a consolidation of such election with other elections being held on the same date as amended by staff and way further reading. Second.”

“I'm sorry, really quick. So I did wanna give a shout out to CFO Wagner and thank him for giving the presentation. I know he just slipped out, but he said when we asked him to do it, that that part brought him joy. And so I really wanted to thank him for doing that. On the 16th, I was able to attend a tour of the geysers with water staff and Cal Pine staff gave us a tour. So that was really great. On the 17th, I had the opportunity to do a ride along with Officer Riley Howard of SRPD. I wanted to thank him for providing an informative, exciting, and at times humorous ride along. And on the…”
