“Thank you, Mayor. Thank you, Randy, for the comprehensive overview. I'm looking for a soundbite, like a three-sentence summary for our constituents. So my understanding is the process is the legislature will, this will be our BDR, the legislature, should they approve it, that gives us the authority to extend it, but property taxes will not increase. An approval simply means to maintain the dedication of some portion of the property tax to support our fire safety initiative. Is that correct?”
