“Now, while I'm on the microphone, you may do it later. I don't know. Are you going to do a parking analysis also? Because I haven't seen which part of the road you removed the parking, and is that going to hurt anyone? I don't know if there are businesses there or... you know, what the parking currently is being used, if we remove them, is that working?”

“I think the wayfinding is a very good idea. Of course, we don't want to have a lot of sign that people cannot read it. But I'm very much for anything, anywhere, to put wayfinding. It makes everything sound safe.”

“Jason, can I just say something here? Yeah. Barbara, I know her. And, you know, we did actually, if you guys don't know, she is a motorcycle rider and she has a few motorcycles and we ride together for a few times. And I work very closely with her. I heard she was retiring. I can't believe that. She is really an icon for the commission and someone for the years moving up like the way she did. And she was very important because I remember that when I was at the parks department, any kind of, you know, IT tools that we need, she was there to provide and make sure that it works well for us, her…”

“Yeah, you can find anywhere, anymore, someone stayed with the company for such a long time, and that is really important. in knowledge and asset. I truly understand what you're talking about. 40 years of knowledge and knowing that the commission has changed so much. And that knowledge by itself is very valuable.”

“So Mark, what is the type of the soil there? Why there was no agriculture? The soil was not good for agriculture because usually the type of the soil matters.”

“Yeah, yeah, that's fine. I'm just wondering, I understand this is a state, but one of our requirement was that the soil type. I think it was type two, something that is really good soil for ag. I don't know if that matters anymore under the state law.”

“But this place was not being used far beforehand, correct?”

“Can I ask a question from Mark in regard to the type soil? I understand that we have been preempted from a state in regard to the type of soil. But does anything stops us to look at the type of the soil and if it is, you know, a good type of soil there, see if we could encourage the applicant. I know that doesn't apply to this. I'm talking about the future. Maybe there could be other places that would provide the same kind of things that they want, but allow the good part one or two stay be available for farming. I understand that we cannot stop them, but we could at least look at it and see…”

“I don't know if that's something that we could do regardless to look at. I'd like to know. Even though that if we don't have anything, any power over it and preempted by state, but it still is a good thing to see what we are doing and where.”

“No, but this doesn't have to do with the applicant. It's not even related to this project. I'm just asking in general for the future.”

“That's exactly what I was looking for, that I understand this advisory and even that it's not, you know, state preempts us, but nothing stops us at least to understand what we are doing and, you know, if needed, just to make an advisory comment. That's it. Thank you.”

“Yeah, I just want to say that it is so wonderful to see you guys here. Thank you for bringing them here to share it with us. Congratulations, and thank you. for being here and spending time in the parks and doing the community some good. We really appreciate. And you know I love the bridges, so I'm very interested to see, is that really our own people that they set up the bridge, or did we have contractors to do that?”

“Nodding. Oh, my God. I'm very proud. That's wonderful. That's wonderful. Great job. That's a lot of saving in cost saving for us to do that. And the price is unbelievable. Now that everything goes up, you could see something that is so effective and works that way. Congratulations to all of you. Thank you.”

“Let me just say that, because I know that. The septic area that they're showing is already approved by DPS as the concept. They have approved that this is based on the number of the bedrooms that is proposed. This area is already approved by DPS, and then the design of it would be when they get the permit.”

“Can I just say something? I learned that recently, that up to 1975, the requirement of platting was not required. So everything was done as a parcel, and platting was not then required. At 1975, then county required that any land transfer or construction has to be plotted and be on a plot. So DPS checks on that and doesn't issue any permit unless that parcel is plotted. So everybody has to go through this process. So probably this land has been sitting there before 1975. And now that they want to build something, if it was before that, they could do it. But now they cannot. They have to plot…”

“Yeah, it is turnover, but that's very interesting. I'm just wondering that could it be that we have the infill area with multifamily building, that that's the point of attention, focus that we have right now, but eventually people that they are in this multifamily buildings, they want to move out to other areas. And that turnover is the one that actually could impact these areas. I don't know. I'm just asking this question because You could see that people that they want to have children and family and pets, eventually they want to move out to something that gives them some more space. And…”
