“Thank you, Mayor. Thank you, Director. How many bids did you receive, if I may ask?”
“Thank you, Mayor. I move that the Laramie City Council approve Amendment 1 to Agreement for Professional Services between the City of Laramie, Wyoming and BHA Design Incorporated, Fort Collins, Colorado in an amount not to exceed $49,075 and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to sign. Second.”
“I move that the City Council approve the contract between the City of Laramie, Wyoming and Big Hunks Excavation Inc. for construction services to construct Coughlin Pole Mountain Park in an amount not to exceed $690,104.19 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign.”
“Thank you, Mayor. I love going into a community where the downtown is vibrant. I love the alleyways that are clean, not grease traps, lighting, of course parking, and we have a very historic downtown, but there is a lot of room for improvement. I like that the business owners are being asked what they like. I think it's a long process, but I think we survey every business owner downtown and come to an agreement on what they want and what they don't want, which we're doing here. But as far as financing it, I like that it's on their shoulders. So, you know, but you know, as council councillor…”
“Thank you, Mayor. I move that the Laramie City Council approve original ordinance 2124 upon introduction and first reading amendments to LMC sections 15.14.080.C.5 and 15.14.090.D.1A and tables 15.14080-1 and 15.1409-1. regarding the use of metal siding on residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional principal buildings based on the findings of fact and conclusions of law. Second.”
“It works. Okay, thank you. Councilor Newman and I sat in on interviews for the parking task force and we were originally thinking two people, but I spoke with city manager cause we'd like four and he said, do it. So we have four community citizens that we'd like to appoint to that. And then I also had help from councilor bowling this last week for, uh, uh an individual be put on the ura and so we interviewed two and there's one that we're really really excited about so and then the other one we think could be good but elsewhere maybe so but they were very interesting and fun to talk about too…”
“I'm along the same lines, except from what I remember most of the times, anytime there's been an award that we've put that on the regular agenda as a yes, no, because I'd like to know, maybe it'll be in the report. Who did we get the truck from? Who was the bids? Things of that nature, since... So it's just nice to know that. So I don't know if we need to put that in the regular agenda or not. Thoughts, but that's just one of my concerns.”
“Thank you, Mayor. I move that the Laramie City Council approve the new application for a special malt beverage permit number special 9 for Roxy's Catering LLC located at the UW Arena Auditorium for a licensed term of August 20th, 2026 to May 7th, 2027 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign.”
“I was able to attend the Planning Commission last evening and they just had one subject and it was at the Cirrus Sky Park to a final plot for four new lots and then moving UL to another building, an existing building, and then moving Saffron to two other existing units, but expanding Cirrus Sky Park. That's about it.”
