“I just wanted to say that I agree with Council Member Shaw that we should look at the EDC. I think this is a great project also. We need projects like this to help those who cannot afford and we need more housing to help those who cannot afford their housing. So thank you, Shaw.”

“Okay, the other question is how many apartments do we have in New Braunfels that accept the vouchers?”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  4. Play at 2:01:31
“But it's not all in one area. It's all spread out through town, correct?”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  5. Play at 2:49:44
“Yes, and thank you for your presentation. And yes, he took the words right out of my mouth on the schools and parent pickup. I do my grandma duty every day from 3.30 to 4.30. And I go from Oak Run, Carl Schurz, to Kenyon High School. And at Oak Run, you have cars waiting from Oak Run all the way to Randolph Brooks. The worst one is Kenyon High School, both 1102 and the access road of 35. The access road of 35, it goes all the way to, no, it's past Home Depot, that hamburger place, P. Terry's. Yes. And parents are picking up kids at the Buffalo Wing Place. And I mean, it's, I'm surprised…”

“My only question is, is when you start the process and you start working in that area, will you be notifying the neighborhood and the neighbors that, you know, that, you will be working in that area and will you work with them on traffic and stuff?”

  7. Play at 3:06:58
“Yeah, it's across the river, right? My other question is not only the timing of the year, but also the timing of the day, because a lot of people complain about night work.”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  8. Play at 3:08:45
“So that's a year and a half. Will y'all be working with the residents in that area, especially with river access? Because that's a long time.”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  9. Play at 3:10:13
“Yeah. Okay. Thanks. Yeah. I think if you pushed it towards the beginning of the school year, it would really work because you're talking about nine months that you mentioned that you would be working hard on that one. And that's during school time. And that would go all the way through either February or March. And you mentioned, you would not have the neighborhood as mad at you.”

  10. Play at 3:22:26
“My concern on the bus, now I do have concerns on the bus parking downtown because of the fact that as we speak now, I believe they're changing parking downtown to diagonal in one side of San Antonio. Am I correct on that?”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  11. Play at 3:23:14
“Fabulous, okay, that was a concern. I was like, oh my gosh. Yeah, same thing. But also with him, with Spradley, I do agree that we should not be charging $10 for buses for the event parking. And I believe it also should be a limited time, like not, not once a month, like I think it should be like maybe once every two months or once quarterly, but because of the fact that we've got more than one business that has bands that play downtown. And if we had every business that had a bus parking downtown, there would be no parking for our residents or our guests.”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  12. Play at 3:24:07
“Yes. Thank you. Good presentation. Thank you. Thank you.”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  13. Play at 3:25:07
“A lot of cities also do have blood donor buses that do park downtown and breast awareness, you know, to check your breast for breast cancer. But, I mean, I just, you know, I know that they park downtown also.”

    City Council · Sep 14, 2026

  14. Play at 29:49
“Well, I'm not for the tier and I think that if you wanna propose something like this, I think that we should do more research on it before we jump into something like this because we should be approaching other cities that do it and see if it's successful for them or not. I just don't wanna do something that we've never done before. So I oppose it.”

    City Council · Sep 8, 2026

  15. Play at 1:12:51
“So are we replacing all of them straight across, or are we replacing them every year, different departments or sections of the city get replaced?”

    City Council · Sep 8, 2026

  16. Play at 1:42:35
“Yes. I want to say the same thing on what Councilmember Schall said was thank you for all the hard work that y'all put into this. And I mean, I can only imagine. But one of the key things that I wanted to bring up was because Mayor French, you asked where can we save money and keep it local? And I was trying to remember, okay, what was that thing that they were bringing in? And it's the crack sealer, correct? That's the one that y'all used to, is that the one that you used to give to a different company or was it the street marker?”

    City Council · Sep 8, 2026

  17. Play at 1:43:22
“And I appreciate that y'all are trying to do that and I wanted to bring that up because of the fact that it just shows that you are looking at keeping money within the city and trying to focus on that. So I wanted to bring that up again. Thank you so much for putting that effort into that.”

    City Council · Sep 8, 2026

  18. Play at 2:24:24
“I am worried about the data center that's off of Francis Harris Lane because it is over the Edwards Aquifer. And I believe that one is on pause because of the governor. but it's not, I mean, that one is also just not very far from Mayfair, so that's another reason why I'm worried about that data center. I also, I just wanna make sure that on your, what you're planning on doing is I wanna make it harder for the data centers by, having strict zoning laws, but also limit the fiber optic infrastructure and then up the cost of utilities for them, make it higher for them. I know that data center…”
