  3. Council Member Yoram Scolari Yes, thank you so much for the presentation and the report. It's actually very entertaining, so I really appreciate it. So I have a couple of questions around safety. One, Council Member Hill was mentioning, you know, the PB, Lupita D Montoya- When when you're adding like the boulevards are the different classifications and i'm looking at the class to for bike lanes versus class for the separated by way, so I imagine that it depends on the. PB, Lupita D Montoya- width of the street that you decide one way or another, but i'm just I was curious sometimes when I see…

  4. Another one that I have around safety is when you have the multi-use path is the e-bikes. Now you're sharing bikes, pedestrians, electric bikes. And I have a lot of residents with concerns. They're going too fast. Is there, I know this is kind of like the paths, but are there any place where we can put measures around safety? I don't know if there are like signs or more police patrolling. I'm not sure, but is there anything that can address that? Because I think we're really encouraging people to use more and more bikes and, you know, walking, but how can we make it safer? PB, Lupita D…

  5. Okay, thank you. And my last question is that one of the projects is on Bell and Boulevard and Kerner to improve the pedestrian conditions. And I know that we are talking about maybe Kerner will become two-way instead of being like one-way. So I'm assuming that you are already, you had that in mind. So if we are working into pedestrian improvement conditions, I guess maybe they are the same improvements. But I was just curious to see when we have public works developments of something that might or might not happen, how are you accounting for that?

  7. Yes, thank you. I echo the sentiment. Fantastic plan, and I really appreciate all your work. To me, I'm going to see it, well, two parts. One is I think about encouraging people to bike, but really walk more often, because I think, I hate to say, but in this country, people don't think about walking, and sometimes it doesn't take that long to walk the distance, and it's actually really good for your health. And I think the more we can do safe paths... the more we are going to be able to encourage people not only to walk, but also biking. And I'm thinking about in our climate action plan, one…

  8. Yes, I also want to echo, thank you so much for all the work throughout the years. This is like a very complex project and it definitely going, you know, whatever you do is going to impact somebody. So I think this is going to make life much easier for most people and it might have some repercussions of some of the neighborhoods. So I like the idea of like being open to feedback from the community and see What we can improve I was just thinking we're looking really in the future about delivery trucks from Amazon and other places where they might use drones and Probably know what we want, but…

I also that the same day I attended the MCE Clean Energy Board of Directors meeting. This morning I attended the MCE Executive Committee meeting and then I'm going back again to August 22nd. 13. okay great thank you so much a couple of other things um you mentioned sandbox available so something that we are talking about um one of my districts includes the canal and some people don't have cars so how can we have those available in the places where they live so they don't because you have to drive to go get it but you cannot get out of the area so that's one i guess comment and then i'm curious to see if you're working also with businesses

  14. Yes, I wanted to also echo the sentiment and thank you so much for everything. It is wonderful to see the collaboration between the city and the county and it's so necessary. And as we are looking at our sea level rise and everything else that's already happening in our community, sometimes you don't even have to have like a niño to be or like a king tide to be an emergency. So I look forward to continue the work and there's more than, I mean, a sandbag, It's great, but it goes so far. So what can we do when there are certain places that the water gets into the houses and people get…

  15. Thank you so much for the presentation and for answering all the questions. I actually have one for Christina about the, do you keep in mind the population, the change in population, thinking about population growth where maybe you have suddenly family with little kids and now the kids are bigger and they all have a car. So I'm just curious to see if that's something that you keep in mind as population grows in San Rafael.

  16. Yeah, no, that's super helpful. I was just thinking, in addition to that, just how our neighborhoods are transforming as people age and new families come in. Anyway, well, that's very helpful. And I know the other question is around carbon sequestration. And I know, Corey, you are really working on carbon sequestration. Let's see what we can do. A lot of the carbon sequestration happens through farming. And we are not in farmland, although I want to say I have a little farm in my house. But I wonder, like, adding trees, you know, what things, what type of impact will that have besides, like,…

  17. Great. Well, those are all my, oh, I have one more question. In the Air District Rules 9 to 4 and 9 to 6, is that the name of the rule, or is that the time that you're not supposed to use? Those are the name of the rules. Okay, because I know with MC, they always say, don't use your energy between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., so I was thinking, hmm. So anyway, thank you.

Yes, well, my pleasure, especially serving with people like Corey bit of a man and and also with Kerry is a is the one thing that gives me hope about this whole climate change is how much talent, we have within our stuff and also in our Community Thank you so much for always been at all the meetings and really providing scientific data, which is always really great to see. um i when i when i think about this the number one is transportation and i think a lot of times what does that mean for our city and and to me i still i live in bretthart and i still i'm not comfortable getting on my bike…

  21. Yes, I agree with Vice Mayor Kurtz, and I would just have very quickly that these are like the, it's all financials and numbers, but there are like stories after every number. And I know that rec department is doing such a good job with all the offerings that we have for our community. and really appreciate therefore with fire overtimes and all the strategies that you have in place not just because we are going to save money but also because it's the right thing to do for the health of the people working you know in that department so thank you so much this is a lot of work i appreciate it…

  23. Thank you, Mayor. So I have a few updates from back in June because I missed the meeting in July. I was visiting family. So I'll just try to be brief. On June 5th, I attended the Cal City's June Policy Committee meeting, and I'm representing the city on the Environmental Quality Policy Committee update. And so we just went with some updates on the priority environmental legislation. including positions on bills related to building standards, data center energy efficiency, clean energy permitting, and energy governance. The committee also highlighted some of the Cal City's sponsor legislation…
