  2. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. Another comment on the situation with HCMC. I just wanted to say thank you on behalf of all of us who also benefit from the availability of that trauma center. The concern I have is... I guess that you could speak to is if you're thinking about solvency for that property for the next, let's say, three to five years, and if you were to make the worst case assumption that there wasn't federal dollars available, what are some of the levers you all are considering potentially pulling to kind of keep that afloat and is there anything that the city can be doing to support that?

  3. I have a quick clarification question. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. I noticed, for example, that like some of our anytime fitnesses weren't examples that you gave us. Do they fall into the health club category and not the fitness category? Is that why they're not like included in that list of the sports facilities that you gave us?

  4. They're in one or the other. We just don't know which is what you're saying.

  5. Thank you, Mr. mayor. So dance is included in this and I think that's fine. It's obviously a sport in a lot of ways. But like the dance studio that we now have in the 90th and penn strip mall, you know, if they wanted, is that particular as an example something that could move into one of these under this category is is that like I just want to make sure I understand the kind of like would they have to be bigger than that in order to go into this or are you saying of any size this this particular thing applies right yes okay and it's not taking them out of the ability to be in those…

  6. My ideas were more specific but on the same lines as yours. We have different industrial zones and I think there are some that are appropriate and some that aren't is maybe another way to say it. For example if we look at the I think there's one that is specifically let's see here. there's one in here that talks specifically about using, yeah, industrial park. The IP district is intended to accommodate it, but it's also identified as protective, sorry, oh, sorry, industrial park excludes more intensive industrial activities and business uses that are not complementary to the district's…

  7. No. But anyway, that was my thought was to maybe kind of start with a couple of these, maybe the freeway one, the ti one, the it one, and then look at limiting the heavier industrial ones to start with.

  8. I just wanted to say thank you for bringing this. I kind of forgot that this was something that was coming to us in this work plan, so I appreciate you guys being diligent about staying on top of things, even though we forget about stuff. I would, I mean, I... I always like to ask this question. Is there any reason, is there anything that's in your pipeline right now that is going to be immediately affected in a positive way as a result of making these changes? I'm thinking about whether there's stuff over in the South Loop area or other things like that that might be, people have come to…

  9. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. I was just curious if any, it didn't seem so, but I didn't want to assume that anything moved in or out of the 27-28 plan as a result of the most recent meetings that you all had. It felt like the like you said that there's a couple of things that have moved around over the last couple of times we've looked at this but in this particular case it feels like the things we talked about last year are still the things that are at the top of the list this year. Am I reading that correctly or were there material changes made to the recommendations from your teams as a result of…

  10. Okay. And speaking of the inflationary changes, council Member Rivas and I were both having the same question. I think when we've seen the animal shelter in the CIP over the last ten years or so, it's probably been pegged at about five. It's in here at seven. Is that mostly inflationary reasons? Did our conversations on the shelter like revise that upward or how did that move?

  12. Thank you Mr. Mayor. Good evening. Quick clarification on the if I remember correctly when we first started this conversation the run rate meaning from call to showing up was over 12 minutes on average is that correct? Do I have that number right? I know it's gone to nine and now we're trying to target seven and a half, but I feel like we've made progress. And I was just curious what that original number was, knowing also that we're running with four people at a truck as opposed to, so there's two things that are improving as a result of what we're doing. The number of people on a truck and…

  13. Right. Okay. So we've gone from over 12 to 9. We've gone from 1 to 2 to 4. And we continue to try to drive it to 7 and a half and 4. Is that the right goal? Yes, it is.

  15. Thanks Mr. Mayor. Can I have a follow-up question on that because your question intrigued me. So where we have looked at enterprise programming to date as kind of, to your point, self-sustaining, right? That on an operational basis, we are looking for net break even or better, right? So what you are thinking about doing now is, ooh, I don't know if the right word is peanut buttering, but the idea is that there are certain roles within the department that can be incrementally utilized across those enterprise funds. So are you expecting that we will, knowing, for example, that we're generally…

  18. Okay. So that makes sense to me. And so where would we going forward as you guys look at this, where would we talk about the community benefit as it relates to the line items here as we think about going through the budget process in the next couple months?

  19. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. One of the areas of opportunity that I didn't hear tonight, but that's because of the nature of the presentation, not because y'all aren't thinking about it, but a couple of years ago in our parks department, one of the things that we talked about was level of service implications for our different parks, and that we were, for lack of a better way to put it, putting it in kind of a tier structure where it was like, these are our most used, programmed you know, need to be the most actively managed parks, right? And those fell into more of I would call not parks, but…

  22. Awesome. Thanks, Chief. Yeah, thank you very much for walking through that so clearly. I appreciate it. I think that a big part of what gets people concerned is when they don't know what's going to happen. And so having you here just to give people that comfort and that, you know, you and your people and, you know, Director Cheney and her people are making sure that that data stays safe and also that that data is used properly and that's in, you know, in the best interest of us as citizens and residents. I think that goes a long way. So, you know, without I don't have any particular question…

  23. Thanks, Mr. mayor. I just wanted to make sure because I think that the question was asked in the listening session if we could just be clear that this is a, this is going to have both a contractual obligation and then also a budget impact. Can we talk just briefly about what that looks like for everybody so it's clear for them?

  24. Thank you, Mr. mayor. It's kind of an adjacent question. Do we have the ability to provide residents with visibility into when they might be due for an assessment? I know this is a fairly circular kind of process. If I was a resident and I wanted to know is my street up for a PMP consideration in the next year or two. Could I get that information online?

  25. Thanks, Mr. Mayor. I really do appreciate the residents of this area coming forward tonight, as well as throughout this. I've had the chance to go out and visit with them. First off, thank you for being good people who are civil about these kinds of dialogues. I can tell you, as somebody who's been sitting here for five years, you have shown exemplary respect capacity to work with us and to speak to what you need without, you know, calling us names or trashing us as humans and everything else. So I very much appreciate that you're model citizens in that way and I'm grateful for that and very…
