“Good morning. There we are. How's everybody today? Welcome back. Even though this is, we're supposed to be on bright wood. I ain't throwing no shade. But thank you, Madam President, members of the board. My honored guest today is Mayor of Dale Wood, Reggie Jones, who's a dear friend. And this past Tuesday, Alder Lady Shamim Clark Hubbard and I were able to be with a host of family and friends to have celebrated 30 years of service to Herbert Hoover Boys and Girls Club, which is nestled in the elevated 11th Ward. I would ask for a moment of silence, please.”

“Thank you so much. Additionally, I just wanted to share a bit of great news. My husband James and I just celebrated our 40th anniversary. Thank you, thank you. 40 years ago, on a Friday, we went to the Civil Court's building. And before Judge Tillman, we got married. And then we went back to work because our goal was to buy a house. And so we have had 40 consistent and continuous years of commitment and service and devotion to each other. Thank you so much.”

“Yes, thank you again, Madam President, members of the board. I would just like to take this opportunity to congratulate my colleague, or our colleague, Shane Cohn, who has been elected as the new recorder of deeds for the city of St. Louis. I didn't expect to see him today, but I was glad to hear him saying, I'm going to be here to the end. That's commitment to this board. And Shane, it has been truly an honor and a joy to sing with you and be here at the Board of Aldermen with you. I've learned some things along the way. And so I appreciate you and a wholehearted congratulations.”
