“Yeah, not really clarifying, but I remember a presentation that you did to another body and that you regularly ride Pierce Transit, different routes, different things to get the impressions of what's happening out there, which I was really impressed with that a CEO would do that. I also want to say I've heard from numerous people that live in our community. And while this may not address more of it, the runner has been a big success, not only with people who may not have a vehicle, but people for some reason can't drive for a short period of time. And I'm hearing it from people who typically…”

“So director Baker, just to confirm this would be in alignment with our current zoning that we are that we're adjusting. So as an example, the multifamily housing would only occur in areas in which we would have multifamily housing, it wouldn't be in as a suggestion and residential one. Is that correct or incorrect?”

“Just quickly, I wanted to say thank you to Pierce County Council members Denson and Herrera for putting on the first Pierce County Suicide Prevention Summit. Our own Chase Smiley was there moderating a panel of a few of our members of our youth panel. They are amazing individuals talking about things that most adults have a real struggle talking about that, and that is suicide prevention and mental health. It is, I hope something that will continue on. We had well over, I think a couple thousand people is what I heard. Don't count me on that, but it was an incredible showing of individuals.…”

“Yes. On this Saturday, the 19th from 12 to one at Uptown, there's going to be a let's beat breast cancer rally. I'll be representing the city for that. As the mayor mentioned, there are many things occurring on the 19th and we're trying to split our time here. I encourage everyone to show up because there's going to be a really neat special item that is going to be presented, but you've got to be there to see it first. So I look forward to doing that. Thanks.”

“Thank you for the update on the project. When prior to starting the project, I think the team met with the residents there. I think the church was very accommodating. Do you have plans every so often to meet up at the church and just for people just to kind of give them some updates, you know, maybe every four or five months, whatever, just to do some level setting on the communication. Not everybody reads all the wonderful things you put out. Thanks.”

“Yeah, I think that's great. And not just for problems, but just milestones of, gosh, six months in, here's the, you know, this part of the project's completed. Take a deep breath. We got through this one. And here we go for the other ones.”

“So first, thank you. Hopefully it won't be 25 more years before you come and talk with us, okay? We appreciate that. I had the great opportunity to go over to a very smoky Leavenworth last week, unfortunately, but municipal budgeting and fiscal management workshop, I actually found very interesting. Some may think I'm a little crazy on that one, but it was good. We had discussions of all sorts of items. I forwarded all of the presentations to council and staff. So they have those as well, but they talked about just property tax 101 and how difficult our property tax system is. The only other…”

“So taking on to council member at Brooks comments, I want to say thank you to lower America. I know she did a lot of work on this or communications director and hugely appreciate the look on this in the field. And then adding goals from our comprehensive plan, I thought was masterful. It really tied it in nicely. So thank you. And I'm in full support of it.”

“Thank you, Director Larson. I was really impressed by your presentation. It's very helpful in understanding, especially all of us having to jump into the next biennial budget discussion. So this is good question for you. Are there any I know we have a few bonds and are there any loans? I think there was a utility loan from one utility. I can't remember if it was like sewer to water or water to something. And I believe the state requires, even though it's our own funds that we have to pay an interest on that loan. Are there any things that that you've seen that it looks like we should be could…”

“Thank you, Mayor Pro Tem. Myself, as well as Council Member Ekberg and Council Member Tessitini were able to attend a Master Builders Association tour of a couple of facilities in Pierce County last Friday. And while those facilities were impressive, the affordability was still half a million dollars as we were just speaking And they shared a lot of housing facts with us. They had a national economist that presented to us, and they also talked about Pierce County specifically. And since we were just talking about this, it states that 75% of Washingtonians cannot afford a median priced home.…”
