“You just mentioned going to see it later on and coming back. If we approve this today, unless we put a condition, we can't do anything after we come back next month.”

“Okay, but this is a question. Are the conditions, are we in the conditions? Can we request that it's brought back to the board? For the shop drawings? For the shop drawings.”

“I don't want to say it, but that's the actual word. But there's two conditions that I see. And the condition is the paint, finish, and they've got to bring back the water feature. Right.”

“Be straightforward. That way you can, you know, the bulk of the house, you'll be able to move it forward. You'll be able to do your construction documents and so on. But those two items... we'll have to come back through.”

“Prior to building permit. Yeah. Prior to building permit. Priority of time, if you say prior to building permit.”

“It's not just a shop door. You're going to see that that detailing is going to affect the architecture of that wall. At the end of the day, it's not going to be a flat wall where you're going to apply a paint and you're going to have water cascading on it. There's details that are going to affect the architecture. You might have to recess that wall, you know, half an inch. Or you might have to do something so that the water stays and the water is not going all over the place. So, you know, it's part of the architecture. It's not just simply a shop drawing that we're requesting.”

“Submit further detail and shop drawings. further detail and shop drawings for the water feature. Now about the paint, a kind of how do we address the paint part. And this will be prior to a building permit.”

“Prior to whenever that meeting is scheduled. Right. We're trying to do it prior to. We would have to. Exactly. Yeah. Now, how do we know who's going to give us the location of this? The applicant.”

“Well, the metal, we'd like to see where it's been applied and how successful it is, just for us to see it again prior to obtaining a building permit.”

“Okay, so two small comments. One comment is the SureCreep. It is a product that is made for the application that she's presenting. I really don't have a problem with the SureCreep. Just in case maybe Reynaldo had never used it, it's a good product. So I just wanted to support her point. And then the second point that I have is, It's actually the size of the glazing on the second floor. When I'm looking at this view that we're seeing right now, the north elevation on the bottom, it shows these giant pieces of glass. You know, is the house really going to look like that? Someone makes that size…”

“Great. Now, I only have two comments. My first comment is that the SureCrete, I have never used it, but I have the advantage that I'm sitting here and I will say where we check. It's a local company. It's a Florida company. And apparently they advertise all kinds of different products that give you this wood look. It's almost liquid applied. It's very interesting. I've never used it. I'll look into it more. But basically what we're being told, the way they want to use it, it seems like in their website they have the product for that. So I don't have a problem with that at all. And then my…”

“Well, the house has come a long way since we last saw it. Thank you for listening to our suggestions about the cross sections. They really help. And now we can see that you don't have that exterior void space that you used to have between the first and second. So it really, the house has come a long way from the last time we saw it. And I'm okay with it. I don't have an issue with it.”

“No, no. Listen, you know, I was concerned with the design, you know, how they build it. I'll leave it up to them. There's a lot of challenges. I'm building this house, but Pierre should be an incredible builder, right? The house has a lot of little challenges that I see, but that's not, I don't know.”

“I'm feeling like this is a Penn & Teller show. I think it's probably architecturally for the architectural design value since I've been in the board and it's been I think two years now. It's probably one of the most exciting looking houses. Now, what comes along with that is a harsh review. You're proposing something that theoretically is fantastic. However, you're not showing us that this can be done. I know that you have anyways. However, your design clearly is not going to look like this. I don't understand some of the sections because you provide a very little detail. That one detail…”

“Now, that's a big deal because when I look at this, this is – Great. Architecturally, I'm looking at something and I'm like, wow. I'd love to see that house built. However, I just don't see you being able to build what you're showing me with the elevations. It's just impossible. I'm actually, with all due respect, I'm building a very similar house for Ricardo Bofill at 44 Star Island with... That basic design, the long cantilevers, if you drive by MacArthur Causeway, you can see it under construction. Very heavy concrete, eyebrows and so on and so on. So the spirit is kind of similar in a way.”
