“Okay, another question I had, you said, so we only have 90 cameras, but as you mentioned, there's a map that shows all these cameras throughout the city, various entities, private, public, you know, other entities, institutions, whatever, have them. Do you, I guess, so my understanding is that through the Real-Time Crime Center we have this technology called Fusis where we can link other, through like an MOU agreement process, we can link private cameras into our system to be able to access and view those feeds. Is that right? Is that how that works?”

“Okay. Is that the case with those private, so like if Lowe's or a neighborhood association has a flock camera set up, can they also tie their, through that FUSIS process or any other software integration process, tie that into our system so that we have access to those images?”

“Okay. Do you know who else has access to those systems? Like, say if a neighborhood association put up cameras, how do we know who else they are giving access to? Is there any way for us to confirm that?”

“And then in those cases, will our policies of 30 days, seven days, et cetera, apply?”

“But we still have access to search those images and see them.”

“Okay. My other question is around the data sharing. In the memo you sent us, or staff sent us, it listed that or stated that 109 agencies are in our sharing, we have sharing agreements with. How does an agency get on that list?”

“Okay. And then, can you make that list available to us to review?”

“Okay. If one of those other entities, those institutions, searched our data, what's stopping them, I guess, from putting in... I guess my concern is that they can also sort of create a side door to our information that is collected through these cameras. because we don't have disciplinary authority over them, I suppose. What is that process like if those other entities don't have the same auditing or data policies that we have?”

“Okay, so my other sort of series of questions is around how do you choose locations of where to mount cameras?”

“Okay. And then one other point I wanted to make and if you can go forward to the slide that's about the Next slide, I think. One more maybe. Yes, the court rulings. This is something that I had asked a few questions about, about what is our legal opinion about the Fourth Amendment protections. I think it's one of those things where people, and I haven't gotten a chance to look at these specific cases, but my guess is that they both refer to a Supreme Court case from the 80s that was US versus not. that essentially was like a sort of set this standard for saying that people don't have a…”

“I don't have any questions, but I do want to say, and I recognize not all of these are in my ward, but the ones that are, I just really appreciate seeing the depth of thoughtfulness and responsiveness to resident input. Because I think specifically with Winans, that's one for years. I've heard so much about people really I had hoped it could be more connective and active, but it's sort of just been, as many of these, sort of just a blank space. So it's very cool to see so much of that input that I've heard over the years has kind of actually really filtered into your designs. And then even…”

“Yes, I believe between staff and a planning commissioner, they were able to add some tech teams to just kind of address the connection between this kind of heavier commercial use and nearby residents. So with that, I will move for approval.”

“I just was floored because I was like, surely they have a million dollar. They're doing so much and I think that just is a testament to how efficient you all are and how many volunteers you all engage through your board. Your board is very active from what I understand and so the ability to really put on all these events and I think just goes to show how much love people are putting into the district.”
