  2. Let us all stand, please. Please bow your heads. O wise and gracious Father, we give you thanks for another day. Father, I pray you will continue to guide these public servants who are serving this great city of Charlotte. Father, continue to give us grace and provide us with wisdom. Father, we ask that you please bless all the city employees and all the citizens who call Charlotte home. This is my prayer, and all believers under my voice say, amen. Please stand and join the Pledge of Allegiance.

  3. Mayor and Council, thank you. Whereas the city of Charlotte established its first local historic district in the Fourth Ward in 1976, marking a formal commitment to preserve the city's heritage and cultural identity. Whereas over the last past 50 years, Charlotte has expanded its commitment through designation of seven additional local districts. 4. Mayor, Council, this is kind of special because McClintock Presbyterian Church was a church that my grandfather, Roosevelt Neal Sr., attended many, many years ago. As you all call them, a rabbit. And we have members from the congregation here. So will all the members of McClintock Presbyterian Church please stand up and be recognized. Thank you, family.

  7. I've been part of two mentoring programs. We do make a difference. And so during this pilot program, I think you need to have our mentoring programs at the table. My Brother's Keeper, 100 Black Men, Boys to Men Foundation, Males Place for the Struggle. Just name a few. But we can do this in a collective way that we got a nonprofit so that we did a map of opportunity to all the facilities. I think when you come back August 31st, 2027, you will have the good results for all our youth as well as for the city. So keep leading, Chief.

  9. Okay. Thank you, City Manager. Thank you, Mayor and Council. We have one of our deputy city managers who, after so many years, has finally decided she's going to start another career. This young lady has made me a bella public servant over the years. And in particularly, council, we had to stand up an MPTA process with Councilman Mayfield, Councilman Madrigs. And this young lady worked tirelessly to make sure that we had a process in place so we could select our candidates. And so I would like to give a special recognition to Deputy City Manager Liz Batson for your outstanding leadership,…
