“I'm excited about this, and I made some comments during the special meeting at 5, but I just wanted to add a few things. You know, tonight, I think tonight we have a chance to do something that's very simple but long overdue. make sure that when new investment comes to the county, the families who already live here see a real return. I'm proud to have helped craft this resolution with all of you, and it does two things at once. First, it sets clear performance-based rules for business development grants, so we attract the right kind of growth, jobs, wages, capital investment, and companies…”

“Couple of quick ones. This morning we had Active Living Center's Advisory Council. One event I want to mention is Scam Jam, and that's where you can go and learn about how to spot scams out there, either via email, phone, or any other way. That's going to be October 2nd, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Afton Active Living Center. and i just want to add because a lot of people always ask yes they will have shredders and yes they will have medicine disposal so i expect a bunch of people to show up i do want to talk about afton so it will be an early voting site and that means that we can't hold the…”

“Yeah, I want to thank Madam Chair John and Gretchen for the, you know, the brainstorming session that this thing was birthed from. I feel like that was yesterday that we were doing that meeting. It's moved so fast, but it was, what, three weeks, a month ago, six weeks ago? I mean, it's been a long time coming, but thank you all. And I don't think without putting all of our heads together that we could have made this as robust as it is. I do want to point out that it also is for large and small businesses, including and especially local small businesses. I feel like they had been felt like…”

“I don't necessarily disagree I think what we talked about in the work session was that if for instance we find a funding model that is community-based right we go ask for donations it's important that we go through step one and get someone on board who can do a site plan and a rendering that you can use to market the project if we go for that funding model so I'm certainly in favor of doing step one here even though I do agree with you on some of those items commissioner Pittman so I will certainly be voting for”

“um pretty light month for me actually this will be quick harrisburg town council um a couple of just kind of regular contractual items they did have three public hearings on new developments two of them were small single-family homes those were approved the other one on the agenda was 149 lot residential neighborhood and it was on 175 acres That applicant pulled that last minute, so while it remained on the agenda, they did not discuss it, so there will be a public hearing on that project at some point. WSAC, we meet on Thursday, so nothing to report there. Cabera's planning and zoning was…”

“um yeah i want to thank commissioner pittman and also mr jones for being very careful about the way they said that because there are two things about referenda that are on the ballot that i think everybody should know we are not allowed as a board by state law to use any taxpayer funds to support or oppose the referenda that goes for the geo bonds and that goes for the constitutional amendment now if you'd like to see me afterwards and know exactly where i stand on both of those i will tell you as a voter which is my right but this body has to be very careful about what we say we cannot…”
