“I would make the request and obviously we can discuss it here. I think that the mitigation process is not something that should come to us. Um, I think it should be streamlined, maybe create a high threshold. Let's say, you know, mitigations of over a million dollars or a hundred thousand dollars, whatever it may be, and give authority to the city attorney's office and the, uh, city manager or designee in order to mitigate in circumstance. So they don't have to come to this commission. I'll be honest.”

“Commissioner Ceballos, anything on this ordinance? My only comment was, I think I mentioned it before, code enforcement. I don't know if we need to create a carve-out. It says it can be reappointed or replaced by the appointing authority, and I'm pretty sure that we just need to spell that out because code enforcement is born in the state statute, and I think only members can be removed for cause.”
