“And then repairs is when we have to take something to the dealership that we can't fix at house.”
“So then the next section that we have, budget items, is in brush and weeds. You were able to cut the, we're not going to be leasing the arm mower, so that was a nice Chunk of change. Chunk of change. The supplies and materials and the tools. Like chainsaws, ropes, stuff like that. And the blades. Yes. Which are like a couple hundred dollars.”
“And then parts, oh, did the blades go, are the blades in the parts? We have 4,000 budgeted for parts and brush and roots.”
“Okay. Okay. I mean, I'll just keep moving on slowly. Okay, so the fun one, the salt and sand. So you actually have the quotes, you actually got the quotes and based these numbers on the increase in the expenditure and the projected usage. I know, look at the pattern. It is so... In 2024, we spent $50,000 in 2025, 68, in 2026. So far, we've spent 80 and we're projecting 116,000. And we moved, it's 98,000 because we just did those two budget modifications recently because of the quotes that we got.”
“Okay. Then basically that's the third. operational budget, and then we get to the benefits. Retirement, FICA, workers' comp, those are pretty accurate. And then the medical.”
“Because of the fund. We have a lot of extra money. So they're putting that towards our total account of employees in 11.”
“But the highway superintendent's benefits and wages are general fund. And then our seasonal person doesn't have benefits, but the FICA and all that would be. The medical insurance is also pretty accurate. based on the higher cost plan. And then retiree insurance is also pretty accurate based on the projected, based on the premiums and that I just did the math on that.”
“medicare age or do we continue to they get the private um so no yeah we keep paying it we're just paying it it's kind of special yes cost yeah kind of generous um insurance buyouts is so this year it was high because of that mistake That was made and we corrected it. So the number that is in there. Is closer to what it should be. Then employee benefits other some of that. There is some in some in benefits in the collective bargaining agreement that I budgeted for some of that isn't going to end up going up to the personnel lines into the wage lines. But that budget line has traditionally been…”
“HAB-Juliette Boone, We don't we have no debt until I this this $900,000 ban is issued in a couple weeks. HAB-Juliette Boone, So. HAB-Juliette Boone, Any so yes, basically, our total operating expenditures in the tentative budget. 2.63 million. And then when we deduct that revenue is where that our tax levy comes from. And if we were to not make principal payment, you know, that would reduce down to a little under 1.8 million. Does the board have any Any further, I mean, we can, there was the fuel, we can provide a detail on the fuel and start a couple things.”
“So that was just me HAB-Masyn Moyer- Using numbers in the first column, because that's me and then, when I was doing my published tentative budget I. HAB-Masyn Moyer- went through and I did the. HAB-Masyn Moyer- The math based on what the actual point over is because we're not carrying over the pilot, though we go pylons and. But. And then the interest, I adjusted that down based on the total number that we're going to be carrying over. I also overshot the interest, which is a good thing, but that's in the capital.”
“It was just me making a math model. It's just me being, this isn't the department request. I had plugged in those numbers and then I changed them and I forgot to change them in the purple column. You wouldn't have even known.”
“They should match. I just forgot to go back and... Because what I do is I fill in the department request column. There are some things that the departments don't put requests in because I'm the only one that has the information for them. And then I go in and I put in the tentative budget numbers.”
“Yeah. Okay. Jared or Jessica, have any... What's up? I just have one more question.”
“I mean, we have 111 miles of town roads.”
“You want to know the length? I have that information. I don't know it off the top of my head. How dare you. But I'll have it. Cool. Thank you, guys. You might need to nudge me for that if you want that. Okay. And if the board thinks, if you think of anything that you want to see an itemized report of what the total is on, because some of these you know, like parts and things like that, tools, like you were asking about Charlotte, um, I can provide you with several years worth of actuals of what was purchased on those so that you can get it. Yeah.”
“All right. Thank you both for being here.”
“Hi. Our next department is here. Recreation. You guys can sit together. They decided not to. I'm not reading anything into it.”
“The board has the department's budget sheets that they use to plan out every single program budget. And then what I do is comb through and make sure that every expenditure, like everything matches with our coding. So we can... You guys can walk us through. But basically, some of it doesn't map on exactly because I'll need to combine a couple things together into a line item. And then there's maybe one thing that we need to add. So for revenue, do you want to talk about revenue a little bit? We are on page... 30. Yeah, basically 33. So what I wanted to ask you in your department request, you…”
“Yeah. Okay. All right. So I wasn't necessarily misunderstanding anything.”
“Sometimes it doesn't happen. I see. It's much. Yeah. For non for department revenue. Yeah. If, if we are able to do more than that, that's great, but we want to be more conservative with the budgeting.”
“And then also the board should just remember that in this budget, it's one month behind on any department revenue because it's received by the town clerk and then it gets posted a month later. So for this budget, it would be for what you see in front of you, any department revenue is eight months of revenue, not nine months of revenue. If you're doing those projections on your own.”
“So that is the 35 in the state aid. And then the youth programs. I'm just making sure that. Yeah, so that's going to be.”
“I think I had a question. Yeah, I need to add the thousand in there.”
“It's in an actual, it's like we, it. Are you on 35? Yeah. In 2025, it was 824. And then we budgeted 850.”
“So we'll be adding $2,000 of revenue into this, into the state aid then.”
