“We went through this with Kate already. So any thoughts on anything for the tax collector? It's all very minimal costs of. Let's see. I did do a. What did I do there for the budget officer? Is that 2%? Is that what you're doing? I can do it. I skipped.”
“The we increase the postage to try to account for it. For the budget office, yeah. And that's divisible by 15.”
“Dolly, I don't know. It's like $12,000. I mean, our accountant charges like $400 an hour basically. So they just review my work. I like give them... For the annual. They don't actually do anything.”
“But they're not actually doing anything. They're just reviewing.”
“We could hire the town supervisor can appoint anyone they want to be the budget officer. So, you know, that's it's the either the town supervisors, the budget officer, or they get to make that appointment. I do think the board should consider folding a lot of the salaries in. So I think that's just something the board should consider.”
“Well, I think it's more like a bookkeeper type role, except for the prep of the budget.”
“Well, preparing the budget, but also the overseer of the budget is more akin to... A bookkeeper. Okay.”
“I like my job. Software, that is QuickBooks. I have a hate relationship with QuickBooks, but it's really the best for the money. Everything else is 10 times that. um okay so assessor so we're on page 39 um 1355 which is the assessor code um the one I don't know what the board, so the, if you recall, the biggest, we don't have the reval in there, which is nice. The software change is for the CoStar, which is the commercial software. The quote for that came in slightly under, so I believe it's like,”
“Anything that you guys want to change there.”
“So the deputy assessor was we amended it partial part way through. the year. So it's not those, it's not accurate.”
“It would be in the wage scale. I'd be able to tell from the wage scale. Or I could just...”
“The assessor aid is in line with the, that one's definitely 3%. Okay.”
“So we'll look at that too. I have that highlighted on the way. Anything that moved tiers, I highlighted on them.”
“And then for the assessor aid, that's at a 35 hours per week, whereas the other two positions are 40.”
“Okay. So move on to town clerk. I'm fine with the town clerk salary. I think that's like a 4.5% increase. It just made it up.”
“Okay. Totally fine with that. We're good with that. We'll leave that. Yeah. I know it's awkward, but page 40 of the equipment budget. I know we have a note that I'm going to increase that.”
“Yes. Okay. So what you see is on the yellow is department requests. And for all hourly employees, I ended up putting everyone at a 3%. I believe what this represents is a 4%, what Kate put in. So you can kind of see the difference between those two. And that's what we're going to look at on how we want to, how we want to, Do the overall increase the year over year increase and any changes.”
“So maybe we're a multi hearted beast. The equipment line, I have a note in June.”
“It's going to be 22. Thank you. Oh. Yeah. For the equipment line. Because it's a laptop. Yeah. Office supplies. We're just keeping that high.”
“Yeah. And there's going to be increased staff in the department, too. Never mind. Okay. The bank reconciliation. Is that... What's the story behind that?”
“And they're just review. It is actually I'm going to start having you guys review are the bank reconciliations for general fund next year.”
“So we'll go for 15 more minutes and then we'll switch to resolutions and then we'll have an executive session, audit of the bills. Okay. Software, that's everything.”
“The new license. The additional license for DocuBart.”
“Oh, okay. Thank you. Mileage. You haven't put in for anything. I know.”
“We can certainly look at that. I wouldn't mind having. OK. Education. So we have mileage, but yeah. We should, that would be in the, or it would be in buildings because that's where Harry.”
