“Alderman Conley. Thank you. Chief, I just want to tell you, you talked about your four-minute response time and how critical that is. I actually witnessed an accident, heard it, and then I did. I looked at my watch, which I always do, and it was under four minutes that a fire truck was there on scene. So I just thank you, thank you, thank all your staff for all the work that they do. They are truly part of our critical infrastructure and very valuable to the city. I can't tell you how often I hear from people how much they appreciate all the work you do and how quickly you respond. I also…”
“We'll have to talk offline, but I have had more requests for who do we call to get that installed.”
“Thank you very much for everything you and everyone at the fire department does.”
“Thank you, Alderman. Alderman Conley? Thank you. I'm sorry. If I could, Alderman Gregory, where is that going to be held again?”

“Public is here. Thank you. I don't know if you were able to sign up to speak tonight, but we had talked about inviting him to come tonight. He reached out to Public Works and agreed to be here tonight, so I just wanted to give him a minute to come and end. Again, I thank you for your responsiveness. The residents that I've spoken to have been very pleased with Republic's response to the concerns.”
“No, this is about the... Okay, sorry. I thought this was about the waste... No, no, no. We are waste hauling. My apologies. No, this is Republic, not waste management.”
“No, this is in regards to the overbilling for residential waste removal. Okay, gotcha. Make sure.”
“And I'm sorry, I should have framed this in my unfinished business is the overcharging of residents for their residential waste. Sorry. So yes, apologies. I didn't mean to.”
“Thank you, sir, for coming in tonight. I know you tried to come one night and there was a conflict. So I do appreciate you coming again tonight because the council did want to hear as a whole from you.”
“And I would just like to say also, I have heard from a number of residents who have been dealing with you, and they were very appreciative of your responsiveness and the fact that people have already gotten credits on their accounts. So again, if people have issues and concerns with their bills, we've been encouraging people to look at their bills. So you did do a review of your accounts and identified those issues. If anyone does not get contacted by your office, who should they reach out to? What number should they call to resolve this?”
“Thank you very much. I have no more questions. Alderman Gregory, is your question for Republic?”
“Alderman Conley, do you need Scott Rogers? Yes, I do. All right. Good effort to leave. Appreciate that. I was trying to get out. It was a good effort. I just want to say again, and I know you've heard this, I echo the concerns about reporting and residents feeling like they've been heard when they've reported an outage. So I'm not going to repeat that ditto for the rest of the city for those concerns. But I do want to say that this time, people were very appreciative of how quickly crews were out. I heard from a lot of people that they very much appreciated seeing CWLP trucks. and knowing…”
“And I will just say, if people aren't following Amber's blog, it's a good one and well worth a read. Thank you very much, Scott. You're welcome. Thank you, Director. Thank you.”
“Thank you. So I'm going to ask you about one of your future projects, the Chris Kindle Mart that's coming next year, right? Yes. I've been to a bunch of these across the country and other places, so I'm excited for this. It sounds like a lot of fun. Can you just kind of explain a little bit more what we have to look forward to?”

“Alderman Conley. Thank you, Mayor. As with my present vote on Ordinance 319, I'll be voting present on the amendment and then the actual ordinance because of my employment by DNR. Just to be clear on that.”
“I thought I would promote it, because I really enjoy it. I enjoy getting the recipes and trying it. I actually paid for something like that for my daughter as a Christmas gift, so that's a really great service.”
“Thank you. Thank you. Alderwoman Conley. Thank you, Mayor. I have just real quickly, and I'm sorry, the Director Harris has been trying to sit down, but you passed something out to all of us. Would you like to come and explain what this is? Because as you pointed out, Mayor, there are fabulous services and programs going on at the library, and I think You've brought a lot of energy and a lot of new ideas here, and so every opportunity I get, I'm going to bring you up here to talk about them.”
“So someone can come down to the farmer's market during the day. Come back that evening. Have a nice lunch downtown. Come back that evening and have some wonderful entertainment.”
“THANK YOU. WE'LL MAKE SURE WE SHARE THAT INFORMATION WITH THE REST OF THE PEOPLE AT LARGE, TOO, BECAUSE YOU'RE DOING REALLY GREAT WORK IN THE LIBRARY. AND I KNOW IT'S REALLY, IT'S ONE OF THE, IT'S A SOLID, HEALTHY LIBRARY. critical component of a community, and we've really seen it build up, and I'm excited to see the way you're expanding it. So thank you very much. Thank you. Thank you.”
“I'll go ahead and let you talk about what went on this week.”
