“What a great opportunity. Anything from council? Any questions? All right. Just real quick, on behalf of the city of Caldwell, please accept my congratulations on being selected the Car Club of the Year by the Board of Idaho Hot Rod Hall of Fame. This well-deserved honor signifies the dedication, pride, and lasting impact our club has had on the automotive community and our great city of Caldwell. And I'll come down there real quick. Thank you. I did learn an important lesson from our wonderful club that it's not just a hobby. It's a lifestyle so. Prepare to have a big checkbook though. Thank…”

“Do you just want to take a quick break, five-minute break? Or do we want to move on? Let's go and move on to the next while they get the email transferred. Next, we're going to have an introduction of Caldwell's newly appointed city treasurer and finance director. Rochelle, would you please step forward? And would you mind telling us just briefly who you are and the work you do and the combining of the positions? Of course, we all know the great work you do. Thank you.”

“Absolutely, and I'll just reflect, counsel, I get to work on a regular basis, and you are great at what you do, and I'm just in awe. I'm glad we were able to keep you and promote you in this dual position. Just for clarity, normally we'd go through an appointment process, but this was an individual that was already appointed, and after consulting with legal, we determined we didn't need to go through that process, but we did go through a merging of the process for those that have been following along with council meetings. Are we looking on the parks plan? All right. We'll go back to that.”

“All right, next on the agenda is, and by the way, that was the, there's only two signed up for public comment. Next on the agenda is approving the consent calendar. These are routine items that are grouped together to be approved in one motion, unless the councilor moves for one or more items to be removed from the consent calendar and considered separately. Since there are no motions to amend the consent calendar, I would entertain a motion to approve the consent calendar as presented.”

“Yeah, just a brief information that that's kind of what we're looking at right now. The news has been obviously reaching out, asking questions, provided some recent stories, so we are working together with them. But it's more of a water issue we're looking at right now.”

“Thank you. And we're also, I believe there's an agreement being worked out between Kenney County and Colwell Housing Authority for the route to the sewers. Once we have that, we'll incorporate that into the MOU. And then legal, we'll obviously continue working on that. Anything from legal update on where you're at with that? All right. Thank you. Any questions? All right. We're going to move on. Next agenda item is under old business, the status update on the city water source capacity from city engineer staff and Bowen Collins associates.”

“Thank you, Councilor Williams. And thank you, John, for that. You know, this is very exciting news. We had that sewer agreement, reimbursement agreement in place. And now we can look at the water. So that way, taxpayers and rate users aren't stuck with the bill. So thank you for working hard on that. And when did you update your modeling? Can you briefly discuss that?”

“Thank you. Anything else from council? A couple things. Thank you, John, and everyone for working on this. You know, there's a lot of complexity to this. You know, we promised, I believe it was 10,000 to 11,000, Robin, apartments and houses. We also have a lot of commercial development. The key we want the public to know is we're working on solutions, right? It's not just identifying a problem, but it's working on solutions. So there's a lot of ways we can handle this. Our biggest ask, you know, obviously for everything that's been promised, especially any future commercial development that…”

“Thank you, and just for some additional information, thank you, Councillor Dittenberg. We have a total of 417 total miles of roads within the city limits of Caldwell, and 337 miles of that is marked as maintained by Caldwell. Important distinction, too, when we looked at the highway districts and the distribution of funding, it's a lot higher of an expense to build a city road, because we have curb, gutter, sidewalk, and other things, compared to a more rural road, which is the generics of the road compared to what we have to do. just made more sense to make sure we get a bigger pot of the…”
