“Sure. Well, first of all, I wanted to extend my deepest condolences for the family, friends, and our community for Coral Springs Vice Mayor, Nancy Metair. I'm very happy that you mentioned her at the beginning of the meeting. I also wanted to remind everybody that April is Autism Awareness Month. I have my little bracelet here, and I always offer our residents access to our services in any way that we can help and make this community an inclusive community, which it is proud to be. I also want to remind the parents that the YMCA registration is open for summer camps. And I'm very happy to see…”

“That's not the parks and recreation director. She's our community engagement director, but she's also the parks and recreation director.”

“So for the current schedule we have here, we have Monday through Friday for the soccer club to use the 5x5 field for 6.30 to 10.30 p.m. And then Saturday and Sundays is basically the entire day, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. And then the main field, the big one, the big field can be used from noon to 4 p.m. Commissioner, I'm just going to cut you off because this is my report. And I want to open up a can of worms here.”

“But that's going to be blocked by emergency vehicles.”

“You see the green awning right there? That's the entrance. What I was thinking was moving those parking spaces that are there forward, opening a path behind the cars for pedestrians to go through and removing the four parking spaces from there. And that way you still have space for emergency vehicles.”

“No, but they come through it. The vans, the companies that come and pick up people, the rescue actually parks inside.”

“Correct. And the same thing with the wheelchair access. Everything is right in front of the green on it. But if we were to move the parking just maybe four, six feet, maybe less, maybe less forward, you have the behind of the cars as a hallway. You see where the landscaping is, that wall? That could be one access. It would be a straight line from the street.”

“It's a property. All you have is that wall, the concrete wall.”

“Excellent. Thank you. So I wanted to see if there's any, well, no, there is obviously any options other than giving TDR rights from Harbor Island to the site itself before it even goes through any development agreement or anything else. I understand that We fall into this every single time. We don't have money for anything. So we're trying to find money from wherever we can. I don't even know where this TDR situation came from. Like, how did it come about for us?”

“We don't have money to pay a lease, so no. But we have TDRs. But we have a land already. Waterfront land used for a dock park. We should use that land for staging instead of giving away or paying using TDRs to pay when we cannot cover an expense. Civic Park. The dog park area. Here's the thing.”

“I mean, I thought the... To save us money that we don't have to pay for a lease. I thought the residents... And you will make it closer.”

“It's painful. I don't want to give it up neither, but I feel like if we're talking about saving money, logistic-wise, it makes more sense.”

“And they're locking the rate for today for a future use. locking in the rate of the TDRs. Yes. They're getting a credit today on the value of today, not tomorrow's value.”

“You don't have to shut it down. We have a new lot. First of all, it was never meant to be this ginormous waterfront park for a dog park. Originally, it was supposed to be a small area on an alley in the back of the school where we had the access before, obviously, way before all of these new plans. It used to be also Channel 7, where they had a space where people already were using for a dog park. And all they said was, as long as you can fence it and put in the budget, that was the fight to get a budget for the fencing. Then it became... to where we are now, right? And I just don't see how…”

“I understand. I think we just need to face it with our own neighbors and just come clean and honest. And this is the reasoning behind it. And this is what we stand by it. I mean, you've seen the results in North Bay Island. So why perpetuate a situation?”

“Harb Island wasn't resealed. It was not resealed. It was a cover-up. It's not as deep. It's not like this one. It's a surface job. But this is a little bit deeper. And it looks good.”

“design because that was another thing too that we're going to be changing the speed bombs on treasure island well i mean you have mentioned that i'm not exactly sure what is in your mind the design of a speed home well removing the ones that were put on south treasure which are very very uh uncomfortable to say the least um at one point we had uh the rubberized um you know like the bombs that just uh you can just drive over much easier and then that was part of the what i've been asking because people keep asking me and i and honestly it's really hard to drive through south treasure with the…”
