“Yeah, so basically what this is, if you look at the actual... Revisions it's a very small revision to what is already our noise ordinance and fire and various things for manufacturing facilities. And what this does is it expands that ordinance to energy infrastructure projects so obviously there's been a lot of talk about the rosemary plant, if it were to exist or any plant like it in the future. Right now, our ordinances are silent on the noise and vibration and fire issues. So this basically takes what we already require for manufacturing facilities and applies it to those energy projects.…”

“Well, I think, if I may answer that question, Mr. Chairman.”

“You know, it's how we, I mean, we have noise enforcement through code enforcement now. It would be enforced in the same way manufacturing ordinances are enforced, and the standards are the same. I can't recite the detail off the top of my head, but they are in the packet. But basically, they would be the exact same standards we impose on all our other manufacturing, and the compliance mechanism would be the same through code enforcement the way it's done now. I assume code enforcement. I guess it's just code enforcement and law enforcement.”

“Mr. Chair, I'd like to make a motion. It's not specifically to adopt, but I basically would move to amend that we remove this item from the agenda today. Um, and basically, uh, I moved that we removed from the agenda and did not appear before us until it's reviewed and considered as part of the holistic ZLDR rewrite. That would be my motion.”

“Yeah, Sheriff, I echo Councilman Tomlinson's appreciation for you coming out. You guys have very, very hard work. Some of these mics are popping. Let me back away a little bit. So if I can nerd out just a second, you know, I have three jobs. I work my counsel job, my lawyer job, but my third job is I'm an adjunct professor at the law school, and I teach technology and criminal law. Somebody mentioned Carpenter, Shotry. I'm actually teaching Shotry in two weeks, Monday night at the law school, if you want to come and listen to it. What we're really talking about is something called persistent…”

“We've talked about this. This just allows basically signs to show where hospitals are, and we amended it last reading to make sure that It's not an advertising mechanism. It's quite literally just a directional sign so people will know how to get to hospitals.”

“Yeah, so we had a pretty lengthy discussion last meeting on this. It's fairly technical, but basically this brings us in line so that we can... make sure that some of our zoning ordinances and that some of our larger common plans both fit into state regulations and also allow staff to handle those in a way that's been a bit, it's been a bit difficult to manage those. I think that's the easiest way I can say it without saying it for 15 minutes.”

“Yeah, just very briefly, again, obviously, all our hearts go out to the DeLong family. That's awful and I meant what I said, we need to remember as a community to keep this young woman in our thoughts in the next years and wants to come also wanted to briefly address. I think we still have remember the current year back there by Johnny. We got an email today. There was some questions about data centers and I'm more than happy. She asked a question. So I've been pretty clear about this, but as we have these data center discussions. She had sent me three questions. Do I support the moratorium?…”
