Good evening and happy Pride Week, Charlotte. Dante Anderson, District 1.
Thank you, Mayor, and thank you, City Manager. We are about to proceed to walk you all through the full council through our discussions and some of the findings that came out of the Public Safety Committee meeting that was held as a special meeting over our summer break as it relates to youth protection ordinances. We all have seen the video and some of the news updates as it relates to teen takeovers and unfortunately some of the challenges that have occurred throughout our city from North to South to center city and I've been working very closely with chief Patterson and attorney Jessica…
thank you Mr. Mayor and thank you council for a very good conversation on this topic that the safety committee has delved into a lot of really good questions and perspectives one thing I will say and I want to thank the chief and her team for all of the work that they've done you know both you know I would say you know inside the building doing the research and collecting all of this data and information but also equally if not more importantly out on the streets engaging with our youth and our residents to try to curtail some of these events one of the most important things I think we've had…
Good evening and happy Stella Awards week in the city of Charlotte. Dante Anderson, District 1.

And colleagues, thank you for some really, really great, robust questions that I think are really important and they all deserve full answers. I think the task of what Chief has before her in trying to answer 80 questions is, She might be able to answer a percentage of them now, but quite frankly, probably until there's an advancement of a next round in the grant where there's additional details. You may or may not, I don't want to speak for you, but you may or may not have that information around what would be…
Thank you, mayor Harrington. I just wanted to respond to your question. Yes, the Domestic Violence Board falls underneath the Public Safety Committee, and we've actually had them already come to committee and present to us and share with us some of their concerns. And so we're committed to doing that at least on a quarterly basis is to have one of those committees that fall under purview of public safety come and present. But you're spot on. They've already come, and they've already participated.
