“I just want to wish everyone a happy and safe Labor Day weekend. I know that that's coming up. We typically, you know, the people that work consider just a day off, but I would hope, Mr. Mayor, if we can adjourn the council meeting on behalf of our local labor union. That'd be great.”

“There's a difference between government and policy. The only reason why they want to remove this man out of his seats is because the FBI is involved. If anybody is responsible for him being on these boards for so long, it's you guys. Now, because the FBI is quote unquote involved, you want to remove him from his seats? Your job is to protect the city, and that is my job, and you have not done a good job at it. So now it's your turn to also go.”
