  1. Well, what I have to say is extremely anticlimactic compared to the eloquence of our incredible youth. But I'll start and say, first off, again, thank you for being here. Thank you for all your efforts. And thank you for making sure that this effort every year is brought in front of our community. And what a treat to have so many of our community members here tonight to hear it, right? You rock. You better go back to the QR code. Anyway. And in full transparency, I have the honor of being the club advisor for these students. And so this is near and dear to my heart. City of Tualatin…

  2. I haven't had conversations of ex parte, but I have seen social media posts and other things basically from the safety portion of this, and I still believe that I can render an unbiased decision.

  4. So I thought a lot about this topic and safety and wellness is core to who I am and what I do every single day as my day job, if you will, in this community. And I guess what I wonder about the performance standards, I feel comfortable in how I voted this evening. But I do believe that there could be and maybe should be an additional conversation to understand what other threats. From what I understand, I don't think LAM is the only one in our community who holds chemicals. And I think there are many other places. And it would be an interesting exercise to understand from the school district,…

  5. Yes, thank you. I'll go through all of mine just in case. I was on the architectural review board when the original matter came before the board. I did recuse myself during the city council hearing. because I had already voted on the topic, and I did have a follow-up conversation meeting and site visit with Vartan, and I apologize, I cannot pronounce his last name, and I don't want to be disrespectful, and Wayne Nobles at the Lamb facility, and did go for a tour, and I was also there for the groundbreaking, And I do believe that I can render a fair and unbiased opinion on this particular…

  6. Thank you. I can appreciate that this is not part of the architectural review, but I do wonder in a future conversation where I would like to learn more about what the evacuation plans are and the notification plans. I know there's an ongoing activity with the CIO and that sort of thing, and I'm assuming that there is a clear plan. And because things haven't been built and the chemicals, as I understand it, aren't even on site at this point in time. So it would be good to understand what will that process be in the future. I'm sure the school district, I'm sure there's a whole lot of people…

  10. not only for everything that you have done, are doing, and will be doing, but your attention to the fact that it will take multiple strategies for the community to be successful, should it be a small local emergency or more of a regional sort of thing. And empowering the residents is really inspiring. And so I just wanted to say thank you for that. I think that part is really important. needed and I think will go a long way to help us get to reaching our goals of being a little more resilient. So thank you.

  11. Thank you. I just wanted to say thank you for taking such a holistic look at the systems that are involved with this and the relationships and bringing everyone to the table and using a process that's worked in the past. And so I'm glad it was able to be applied here, including lessons learned. And thank you for taking the time to share that history with us. And Joe, for being here as such a great partner. So thank you so much for all your hard work.

  12. Thank you everyone who's here representing all the hours that you put into all the different things that happen and Beth, welcome. We hope that that will be a short-lived on hold for that because as far as I'm concerned, I don't know why we would not move forward with that for the representation to ensure that. And I love that we're being sure that we're including a business community mix in there and that it's not usurping or taking away from the business CIO. Because I do think that that industrial one is a critical voice in our community. I could tell you the many stories that I have about…

  13. Thank you. Okay, so making an assumption that we do vote in the new downtown, will you all take the budget that you have for this year and divide it up equally among all of them, or are you asking the City Council to add funds?

  16. Thank you. I am not going to ask to have it pulled off, but I am going to say I completely do not believe that Red Robin needs to have a change in their liquor license to sell bottled alcohol. I think that is ridiculous. They should, especially with other community members coming in and talking about restaurants and bars in our community, I think we have a responsibility to do a better job. And I do think that we have to work harder as a council to sift through some of these things and make statements when we can. And so I know it just would be symbolic. Okay, whoops. Sorry, I thought you…

  17. They just require a new liquor license. It's not to sell bottled. Okay. Correct. Thank you. Okay. Never mind. I still think we have a strong responsibility, especially after last council meeting.

  18. Thank you. I have no formal meetings to report, but I wish that I had known that National Night Out, I thought I understood it was canceled, and so I didn't go anywhere. And so I just am embarrassed that I didn't get out there, and I'm sorry I just didn't understand.

  19. Thank you, Mayor. So if we could have our amazing candidate come up, candidate, scholarship winner. We would like to say a few words and then we have your certificate and we'd like to be able to get a picture with you. So if that's okay. Yes, okay. So it is our pleasure and honor to announce the Tualatin Science and Technology Scholarship winner for the 26-27 school year. This year the city is awarding a $2,000 scholarship. And our recipient this year is Bilal Harani. Bilal graduated from Tualatin High School in June with his ultimate goal of becoming a certified registered nurse anesthetist.…

And half of Tualatin came tonight to celebrate you and help the Tualatin City Council and the committee honor you with this. Would you like to say anything, to share anything about your studies and your amazing interest?

And the big truck day, I know people not just from Tualatin go. And so just thank you for always having a smile, always saying yes and being part of whatever's happening. So thank you for your partnership. Appreciate it.

  23. Thank you. Thank you. I think I'd like to say we're proud that you're investing in Tualatin, at least from my perspective. And we thank you for the work that you have done already and that you're willing to do in the future. That said, I'd like for you to use the words very carefully, constructive and collaborative in the good neighbor conversation. And will you please share with me in the last example that you gave how you applied constructive and collaborative solutions to that?

  25. Thank you. I love that. I guess what I am, I think from my perspective and potentially I'm not trying to put words in the community's mouth, But what I think that I am missing in the story is that I didn't hear the closing the loop with whomever it was who made the complaint. So I don't know if that's because I don't know the process. I don't know if that complaint goes to the city and then the city reaches out to you or is it the neighbor or whatever. Because I do understand that there's a lot happening and there's a little bit of history and we have to be, you know, I think selective and…
