I think the memo pretty much states What we're doing here, I think it's important that there be clear distinction, and also that we revert back to the way that this has been done for many years. I think the salary also is important to correct from what had been happening previously for employee morale. If there's any discussion, then I'll take a motion.”

“OK, this is also my item. Again, this is to clarify the record. Section 2-376 of our code provides guidelines on how to handle requests to staff from council members. I don't think that we should have any additional privileges over what would be common for a member of the public or a business owner. Therefore, I'm asking that this be reverted back to its original form so that everyone can be treated equally. There's any questions?”

I think everybody had time to see it. There is one change that I am asking to be made. I think it's extremely important, and I love the idea of doing an educational campaign on what resources are available to the community to provide support. SO IT'S ABSOLUTELY VERY WARRANTED. “Thank you, Councilman. Yeah, I'd just like to add that I think being here for a bit and watching how the administrations have functioned somewhat more than others. I think there traditionally has been flexibility in allowing the discretion to the supervisors and the directors to allow for those flexible schedules without compromising efficiency and operations. And that's really important. I don't think this is something that needs to come back to us unless the manager feels that there is a policy that should be codified or should be, you know, a function of the council. “Okay, so I just wanna mention, I did speak to Lee from downtown Doral. I have a pending meeting with the applicants, and I discussed with them that Doral has been involved with the Doral International Arts Festival, which actually, I believe, is suggested to take place on the same weekend. And so we're gonna work together to collaboratively make sure that we're kind of feeding off of each other, because the city has invested quite a bit into that festival already. So I think it's a good complement. And I have no problem with the use of the city logo, but at this time I would not be supportive…”
“Thank you. Yeah, I did speak with them. So I have no issues with that. I look forward to it. I think it's going to be great and look forward to collaborating with the investment that the city's made in the Doral International Art Fair, which will now be taking place for the third year. and I think would be a great compliment to what you guys are looking to continue to do throughout the county.
