Thank you. And I just want to recognize that Tay Washington has provided feedback for the proclamation. So as soon as we, the CCAA, have nominated Tay, she jumped right in, providing valuable feedback for the IDEA committee. So thank you both for being there tonight. My apologies for not being there in person, but I just wanted to recognize your work that you're doing already. Thank you for that. Okay, on to the proclamation. And I just had it up and I skipped over on my computer. So hold on one second. Whereas Native American Heritage Month provides an opportunity to learn a more complete…
I don't have any specific questions, but Council President Pratt was speaking on behalf of herself, but I just wanted to echo the concerns around the WCCLS and the services here in Tualatin and this part of the county. So I share those concerns as well with my fellow Councilor. Thank you, Councilor Pratt, for bringing those.
And then we had Tay Washington and Lexi Washington, both for the IDEA Committee, who you all got to see in person today. So I would like to make a recommendation that we appoint these individuals to said boards previously listed. Second.
I mean, I agree with what Council President Pratt said, and it is my understanding that if, and just to be really clear, that if we don't deny the appeal, if we uphold the appeal, then the applicant can then appeal
Okay. And because the criteria has been met, I can't bring forth anything that would allow me to approve the appeal that we've seen thus far. So I will make a motion to deny the appeal.
I could go through the 635 pages. No, there's just one page.

Yeah, I would support that. I'm a little confused on the sound because I thought that we have asked the CIO to work with LAM on the sound. And to my knowledge, that's the direction that we have given to both the, or the, direction's the wrong word, the advice we have given to both the community and LAM.
I apologize for missing work session. I had a family emergency. But did we announce the Tualatin Housing Forum already? Yes. Okay. That's it. Thank you.
All right, we have a Tualatin Housing Forum taking place here in this room on Wednesday at 6 PM. Thank you for the head nods, I appreciate it. It's a requirement of the state that we have a housing forum. If we don't meet a certain criteria, and I don't know off the top of my head, I apologize. But it's a real chance to see, one, what the state, the region are doing for housing, and also the gaps. And folks come in the past and they've shared stories. It's very impactful. And if you have any short stories to share, I think that that's a great forum. to talk about housing and how it impacts…

Maria, do you want to kick us off? Councilor Reyes, do you want to kick us off?
Thank you, Councilor Reyes. So we had four Applicants for the parks Advisory committee and we've selected Johanna Horner with a term expiring February 28-29. So I'd like to make a motion to appoint Johanna Horner to the Parks Advisory Committee.
Thank you. I move to adopt the consent agenda as read.
Thank you. So we had the idea committee canceled this month due to people being very busy in the summer. And so I have nothing to report there. And then Last week we had the CAC, we met on the 5th, and we reviewed suggestions for the Lake of the Commons area. And it was fascinating to see all the different ideas that came forward, and also fascinating to see or to hear all the different remarks. And it was interesting that we have such a diverse group of folks on the CIC. And generally, there was a lot of shared feelings about what to do with the Lake of the Commons, which was really great to…
In his recommendation letter, one of Bilal's teachers said, Bilal is a student of remarkable substance. He leads with his heart, works with purpose, and treats others with profound respect. Any institution fortunate enough to welcome him will gain not only a brilliant scholar, but also a principled leader and a genuine good human being. Son of Jihad Hirani and Hala Sheikha, I hope I pronounced that right. of Tualatin, VLAW plans to pursue a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at the University of Portland. Thank you. And thank you for everyone who came tonight and spoke on both sides, because it's very helpful to get the full scope of the project and the issues at hand. So through this process, I've had concerns with, and I forget who spoke to this, but there are corporations moving outside of Oregon. And I think from news sources, a lot of that does have to do with the tax structure of the state. And so that was definitely a concern to me as this came across our desk. And LAM has a lot of resources, which also means they would have resource to move, which again was a concern of mine as well.…

Okay. So you just want me to list them? You don't want to give me no commentary yet?
Okay. So funding and coordination for shelter and homeless response I particularly like to this one based on the funding eviction prevention and rehousing emphasis Strengthening economic and workplace development I think for all the reasons we just talked about for the last couple hours and then the transportation package Infrastructure funding, I mean, for all the things mentioned in this section, including sustained investments in drinking water, wastewater, stormwater management, and also includes expanding flexible low-cost financing tools to reduce rate payer burden.
