  1. Thank you, Mayor Pro Tem. Councilmember Stuckey kind of brought it to that point of I was wondering how much the tree cost.

  2. I'm not a fan of squishy at all. I'd rather it come back and not be squishy. That's where I kind of sit with this, and it's not to delay. I don't mean to do that. I think it's the right thing to do with it, but I think that process should be laid out. We're setting precedents, whatever we do tonight.

  3. I think what I'm saying is that I won't even vote for it tonight because it's not teed up and eyes aren't dotted and the T's aren't crossed for me. So that's the reason.

  5. Yes, thank you to all first responders and everybody that has always put their lives out for the rest of us and our safety. And with that, there's North Whidbey Pool Park and Rack. I'm going to just kind of throw a little history lesson out here. This program for the homeless to get showered has been going on for over a decade. roughly at the same time. So if there's concerns, if things have happened, then definitely go to the board of Northwood Beach Pool Park and Rec. They're the ones that oversee that piece of it. And if that's any challenging, I'm willing to visit with you too if you need…

  7. So with the general fund revenues kind of flattening out relatively, how does that look for us in the future?

  8. Council Member Wiggins, time. Do we have a procedure in place for our advisory boards and commissions for removing somebody?

  9. It's better to be prepared for what might come versus to wait for it to get here and then respond, correct? So I'm kind of with Councilmember Stuckey on that piece of just having something in place and we already do have something in place that we could just line up with this and it shouldn't be challenging at all. But if it's not in place, then what are we doing, right? I would hate for us to get up against the wall before it and not be prepared to climb over it. So I'd like to see something in there for that.

  10. Again, I wasn't trying to say we're setting to take people off. I'm trying to protect the city by making sure we have something in place when we go out the gate with it, not when we wait until something happens or, no, evaluate it next year and see if we actually need it. We have it in place for a reason. Yeah, people volunteer. We want to do everything we can to keep them here. But we also need to make sure we have the procedures in place to fill the seat again if somebody does stop coming. So if they stop coming, and all of a sudden we have an open seat six months down the road, and another…

  11. Technically we don't have to amend a motion that has never been made.
