“Thank You mayor I would just add is again I touched on this a little of go Rockford taking over these responsibilities and they they are in fact as ASM global or legends global I'm sorry have the experience on on the big events and these smaller more local events and community oriented events they even see the experience that go Rockford has in these endeavors and so I am supportive of the increase in funding to Uh, to activate Davis parting. So we're doing so doing so. Uh, but I also am supportive of the, uh, amendment of the not extending the agreement four more years to a total of six…”

“Thank you, Mayor. A little bit along those lines, yes, I think the TID is completely separate. I think there is, as I mentioned before in a previous meeting, that there is, I think, a warranted conversation to have as far as hotel motel tax uh in in regards to the park district that does do a lot and that fills these rooms with sports teams coming from out of town but that i think is a conversation we can have going forth of the late conversation i had with director parham with health and human services was as this tid as the fee is really aimed towards individuals filling our hotel rooms…”

“Thank you. And this would be geared towards, I know some of the motels that we tend to house individuals in temporarily. if he could address if this would pertain to only certain hotels, if this were to be the case where it could be carved out per se, or whether it would be in regards to all hotels or just certain hotels. Thank you.”

“Yeah, so let me just clarify that. So any motel under 45 rooms that we provide housing for temporarily would be exempt from TID. Looking at the hotels we use, I assume are more than that. If I could ask Director Parham that.”

“Thank you, Mayor. I don't think that's a deal breaker, but I would like to think that we have that number changed um to reflect i i don't know many uh motels or hotels maybe the no-tell motel somewhere has less than 35 rooms but i don't know many that have less than 35 or 45 rooms is it 45 or 35 again 45 45. so uh i think that would be something that maybe our lobbyists could look at if this is a state issue with the 45 room number thank you thank you are there any other questions or comments all the woman meets thank you so much i i just um it was something that i did ask when this first…”

“Yeah, I hope Allegiant doesn't have this because my Allegiant flight would probably get canceled if that was the case. So hopefully it's just with UPS or Amazon, but... Director Parham, how many of our individuals that we put up are longer than 30 days? I would guess not many. So again, this is something that I would like to see maybe our lobbyists address so we can go higher than 45 hotel rooms because I would guess that we're putting up individuals until we find”

“Thank you, Mayor. I'd like to say thank you to my board of trucking for doing a successful charity ride two Saturdays ago for support of Delilah's Law. It is a law that I think needs to be passed on a national level. But they did a great job in the trucking industry and also pointing out that some of the biggest vehicles on the road do have some commonality with some of the smallest vehicles on the road. So myself and another alderman to my left was able to take part in that. It was a great event. So thank you to MyBorg Trucking and Zach MyBorg for that. It seems like time really does fly,…”

“Mayor I appreciate the questions from the 14th Ward alderman as a member of the rave board representing City Council along with the Tenth Ward alderman we have put in obviously as many people know quite a bit of money into Davis Park So we would like to activate it to the extent. It should be Rave has expertise individuals such as legends global that work for legends global and obviously sit as members of the raid board they have expertise in things you know concerts comedians they have the connections with the promoters on a national scale Where Go Rockford comes in to fill a gap is as we…”

“Thank you, Mayor. I think our special events department, as good as they are, are... correct me if I'm wrong more probably in the permitting process than the promotion process so as much as I enjoy everyone in special events department they do a great job I'm not sure about if we want to add promote promoting events to their their work process but again I think there's some valid points if I could ask Administrator Cagnoni. I don't have it in front of me. I know in the rave packet we had responsibilities of rave responsibilities that would be On go Rockford and also the city's…”

“And it addressed gated. I'm sorry for interrupting. It addressed things such as gated events and ticketed events. And so I guess when we, and I have no issue with aldermen asking more details. it's just i just want to make sure that there was some things that were pointed out that may address those questions in particular and i wouldn't be opposed to additional questions beyond that so”

“ALAN TUNBERG JR.: No. I mean, there has been something put out you know, maybe there are additional questions beyond what has been put out there already amongst the responsibilities of the three entities. So if that's the case and individuals have further questions or want to address things that are not in that document, existing document, then that's fine. So thank you.”

“Oh. But I'm sure the first board alderman wanted to hear me speak so the uh i yeah i would uh i would back this amendment from the 300 down to 150. i'm still not absolutely sold on the program itself i think there still is plenty of questions and you know how far should municipal government get involved in this as well possibly with businesses that maybe aren't absolutely set up for success But with that being said, if it does pass tonight, that I am more comfortable with the $150,000 starting out with than the $300,000. One of my questions is that how long are we going to continue this…”

“For 300,000 correct or is it the 150 150 I know it's been two weeks. So So the you know, I still have issues like I mentioned that I'm comfortable that it went from three down to 150 in the sense that if this does pass I would rather have 150 put in Again, I still have some issues that know we did I have talked with various parties on this the city along with outside parties that do have business interests and expertise in this matter as well You know, I do have a tough time in just handing a business over the course of a year and then what happens afterwards in year two or year three. And,…”
