“And you're also missing another like a or the somewhere. So you'll probably want to look at that. So I'd make a motion to approve resolution 26-90C with the changes we've made tonight.”

“So repeat the motion because now we have clarity. We're only talking about motion to approve resolution 26-90C with the edits that we made tonight and any other minor us or those we need to add in because I think there's only one more. And that's it. And then you direct the general as needed.”

“I think, personally, I think it's kind of too far to the other side. I think we've gone from the middle to one side or the other. I think that just pushes it a little too far.”

“Well and it said earlier that it was that we had not decided what we were doing with it right at the beginning. I don't care if we leave it in.”

“And it says here in the last paragraph too, concept one was developed to illustrate what could be possible at that funding level. It is not a final development plan, and specific improvements have not been finalized. I don't know. I think it calls it out pretty well.”

“OK, just one thing, and I'm going to read it. I just am. We had a tragic incident in Sandy this weekend. A five-year-old child was killed, and the impact has been deeply felt throughout the neighborhood, the school, and our city. And it's especially close to home for me. Not only did it happen in Sandy and District 1, but it involved students from where I work. My deepest condolences go out to the child's family and everyone who has been affected by this heartbreaking loss. My own heart is broken, especially as I watch our youngest students trying to make sense of what's happened in school…”

“Our dearest Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to be gathered together this evening. Please help us that as we consider the items before Sandy City that we'd be able to make the best decisions for its residents and its employees. We are grateful for the abundant blessings and freedoms that we enjoy. We love thee and we say these things in the name of thy son, Jesus Christ. Amen.”

“Okay. Cindy hit two of them, which were great, the consultants from Economic Development. So thank you for the opportunity. We had to meet with them. And then Paintbox, welcome to Sandy. It was... a thing, a huge, amazing thing. And the donuts were really good. Also, last week there was a historic committee meeting. We received a very informative presentation on the historic mining railroad in Sandy. It was pretty cool. And then also an Arts Guild meeting. Frozen Jr. ended on Saturday. Or Frozen? Frozen Jr.? Which one was it? It was just Frozen. Thank you. And it was very well attended. They…”

“I have had a lot of stuff show up. Everything was going into my junk email. Have you guys noticed that? I haven't. I have like six resident things I was just looking at here. All these big cities and counties. It just started like a week or two ago. It's like there's this, I see something in there right now.”

“Our dearest Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to be gathered together this evening. We thank you for the opportunity we have to... help out the residents of Sandy and to make living in our city a better experience. Heavenly Father, we ask thee that we be able to articulate our thoughts and be able to listen to one another and provide direction to our staff. We are so grateful for all of our blessings and we say these things in the name of thy son, Jesus Christ, amen.”

“No, I just was thinking about that smart question. I like it. One other aspect to think about is that if we just issue enough to do, if we did put the bond on there and it passed, if we had enough to do closing costs and whatever improvements we needed to get going, then we wouldn't have the money issued. And we wouldn't necessarily issue it until we had a plan that we were comfortable with of what we were going to do. So just a different thought.”

“Yeah, I agree with a lot of what's been said. I still think the $21 million is a good spot to be to put on the ballot. I have concerns about the tax increases, especially in District 1. I think that's an extremely valid concern. And if I live next to the park, I would be like, yes, let's do it and be out there campaigning for it, because I wouldn't want whatever the option other than a park was. But the further you move away from the park, the less I think support there is in the rest of District 1. And I was just looking at the master parks plan. There are six gaps in our master parks plan.…”

“Okay. I'm going to say something, then I'm going to make a motion. Right? Okay. I feel very strongly that this needs to be voted on by the public. And so with that in mind, and it feels like the only option we have at this point is if we make a motion, I make a motion to move forward with the $30 million on the bond. Okay.”

“Councilwoman Christensen, thank you. Our dearest Heavenly Father, we are so grateful to be gathered together this evening. We thank thee for blessing us so abundantly and for the opportunity that we have to live in Sandy and in this wonderful country. Please watch over and protect our employees that they would be able to be safe in their different duties. Please bless the council and administration that we'd be able to express our thoughts clearly and be able to listen to one another and to make the best choices for the residents of Sandy.
