“Yes, Council Member Clipper. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. Sorry, I'm trying to find your presentation and I can't. So could you speak just very quickly, again, on minimum parking requirements that were reduced or eliminated?”

“Reduce it, but does not eliminate. Because I remember the presentation last Tuesday, I think they used both words. So I just want to make sure we're not eliminating zero, so that there's no parking requirements whatsoever. You could build and not have any parking requirements. That wouldn't work.”

“Follow-up question, please? Yes, please. Greenhouse gas emissions, can you tell me about that portion of your presentation again? What's the plan there? What are we seeing?”

“Can you speak to at all what type of requirements or will we be putting on the citizens of the city of Kennewick in the future with these standards that we would be voting on tonight? I mean, are we all gonna have to drive electric cars within a certain amount of time? Are we gonna have to shut down our nuclear reactors? What are we saying with all these state requirements to the citizens of Kennewick?”

“And last question, critical land. management and buffer zones and stuff like that, had dealt with that a lot in the state legislature. What specificity, once again, what type of requirements were we putting on the citizens of Kennewick in the future with these type of restrictions?”

“So I'm looking at 1.8 environmental impact policy. This is intended to minimize the transportation impacts on the natural environment, air quality, noise quality and fuel consumption. Having served in the legislature for 14 years, a lot of these policies are written by people who live in the I-5 corridor, Seattle, Tacoma, Bellingham, Vancouver, and have no idea what it's like to live in eastern Washington in our agrarian community. So when we are adopting these environmental impact policies, the reason why I voted no on the last section was for the same reason. Are we going to be constraining…”

“Council Member Klipper. Thank you, Mr. Mayor, and thank you, Mayor Prokofian. I have the exact same question, so thank you for getting that answered for me. And then for our city manager, have we, you know, When a piece of property is gifted, have we spoken at all to that church that gifted the property to us, their feelings on this matter?”

“My question is similar to what was just spoken. Is there a cost difference breakdown of the three models at this time, or no? I wouldn't think there is, but if there was, I'd love to see it.”

“Just having attended the flag-raising ceremony on the morning of 9-11-2026, I just want to thank all the first responders, everybody who made the events that took place that day in Kennewick, recognizing what happened 25 years ago. Just thank you, and thanks to all the first responders, the veterans. Appreciate you all.”

“Thank you, Mr. Mayor. had the honor and privilege of going to the employee appreciation luncheon at the sports complex, and the city manager did a great job of recognizing some employees today. More of them were recognized at the luncheon, but I just want to say one more time thank you to everyone who worked so hard for the city of Kennewick. You guys are awesome. We appreciate you, and thank you for making our city the great city that it is.”

“Thank you, Mr. Mayor. I just want to say it's my honor and my privilege to be one of the Marine deputies for the Benton County Sheriff's Office patrolling the river on the 4th of July when we had our fireworks display. Once again, just a shout out to everyone who helps to make that happen. Amazing. We just do a great job. And I remember hearing over the radio that the park is packed. No one else is going to be allowed in. That's just another, to me, another compliment to the city of Kennewick that we do such a great job. The people come from miles around to see our fireworks display. So thank…”
