“Thank you for the report. Yeah, Joe and I were appointed to the Planning Commission, I think, at the exact same time, six some odd years ago, weren't we? So we were actually co-commissioners on that Planning Commission.”

“Oh, absolutely, a lot of dinners. So I'm sorry I had to put you through that. And then you guys started this session by Tim just glowing, gushing about Tim or about Joe and his community service. And every time I go to Club SAR, Joe is there. So it leads me to believe that he's more diligent and committed to his fitness than I am. So he's just better in every way, isn't he? So thank you for your service, yeah. Stick around, look for something else, we need you. So thanks a lot. Thank you, Councilman.”

“Thank you for the presentation Councilman Graham Mayor thank you Presentation was very good fire chief Just a couple quick questions. I noticed the average age a diagnosis is mid-30s and Current screening starts the whole body around mid for MRI around 35 years of age. Is that a good age? I mean, are we reaching members early enough? Or is there any thought about younger members?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  9. Play at 31:58
“One is terminal and three are in remission. Does the permanent policy cover those three or is it written for active members kind of on a go forward?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  10. Play at 32:45
“Well, very good. Um, and then my last question was, and thank you for sharing that. Um, I understand there's, uh, more than 400 members, uh, and it kind of, it's on a cycle that reaches about a third of them each year. And if someone's coming up on that mid-30s window, is there a way that they move up or in line or rather than waiting their turn. Have you guys contemplated that?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  11. Play at 33:59
“Thanks for answering my questions. Thank you.”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  12. Play at 49:47
“Thank you. Yeah, you offered if any members had a question about any of the consent items. I just wanted to ask, I wanted to ask our city treasurer about item number 14, which pertains to I'm sorry, yeah, item 14. It just pertains to operating budget adjustments. If she'd be willing just to say a little more about the adjustments that we're voting on and anything, any other context that might be helpful for the City Council.”

  13. Play at 52:28
“That's for the parking structure in the northeast quadrant, is that right?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  14. Play at 52:36
“Okay, yeah, I figured there wasn't any net overall change. I was just kind of curious about some of those changes. So, well, thank you. That's a good explanation. Thank you, Mayor.”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  15. Play at 1:09:50
“Mayor, thank you. That was a good presentation. A lot of collaboration went into that. Just a few questions for you. Yeah, I noticed we talked about the plan asks us to look at using part of the percent for art for restoration. So pieces we already own stay in good shape.”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  16. Play at 1:10:55
“Yeah, that's what I was wondering is, you know, you're putting together a conservation list, and I was just curious, how far along are you on that?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  17. Play at 1:11:33
“Yeah, I mean, when we have our art, and it was kind of said that the maintenance of that art says a lot because when it looks weathered and kind of falling behind on maintenance, then it's kind of a bad reflection. So I am interested in that because deferred maintenance has been an issue. It's an issue for every municipality. It's something that this council I know really cares about. Something jumped out at me is the artist residencies at the McDowell-Sonoran Preserve. Can you say a little more about that?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  18. Play at 1:12:27
“So there's not going to be like residences, residencies?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  19. Play at 1:12:34
“It kind of sounds like people are going to start, you know, there's going to be occupants or abodes on the preserve.”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  20. Play at 1:12:42
“Okay, so we're just going to clear that up.”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  21. Play at 1:12:45
“I understand a working group would study whether the cultural improvements program should reach past Old Town residents. and the air park uh... and before any ordinance change would obviously come back to us uh... what do you who would sit on that group uh... and do the neighborhoods get a turn i mean how does that what would that look like before it came to city council you mean specifically with the art and private development program or the cultural improvements program yes we would begin by working with the city planning department i think to identify the developers in specific areas…”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  22. Play at 1:13:55
“That has been kind of one of those things as far as, you know, the options, because not all the big projects in those areas have sort of met, you know, it kind of becomes a check the box. And if you can get more flexibility, but really sort of leverage it in a way that can get the most impact for your community, I think that's definitely something that could be an improvement. So last question is, I noticed the plan would put a project core team of neighbors in place before an artist is chosen, with one of them on the selection panel. And it seems to me like a fair way for the people who live…”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  23. Play at 1:15:10
“You don't call it a core, I mean, that's what the plan calls it, a project core team. What do you call it now?”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  24. Play at 1:15:29
“Okay. Well, very good. Thank you for the presentation. Thank you. For all your work.”

    City Council · Oct 6, 2026

  25. Play at 3:20:41
“Uh. I requested to speak. And I was just going to ask Councilmember Whitehead to repeat her motion, but we are now going far beyond that, and so I think. I'm I'm siding with the majority sentiment that I'm sensing, so thank you.”
