“Council Member Tolba. Mahalo, Chair, for allowing me to speak and support. Dominic was the District 9 appointee to the Youth Commission from 2024 to 2026, where he served as Vice Chair. It's been great working with Dominic. When his time in the Youth Commission came to an end, he was looking for more opportunities to serve our community, and we saw an open spot in the Neighborhood Commission. Dominic was ready to serve in his new capacity, and I'm excited to see young people step up and find great opportunities and connections to help our neighborhoods. So thank you, Chair, and…”

“Council Member Tobar. Thank you, Chair. I mentioned this in our Public Safety Committee meeting, but I wanted to highlight it again. We worked hard to pass Bill 59, 2023, almost two years ago. And now with the state legislature passing Act 188 earlier this year, I believe we have the right tools in place to move forward with getting a film studio complex built. We've been talking about diversifying our economy for years, and now is the time to move in a positive direction for the film industry and opportunities this will give local people. I'm glad to hopefully see this move forward today as…”
“I heard it was your birthday a couple weeks ago, right? Yes. Huh? Happy birthday. Thank you.”
“Thank you, Chair. Hi, guys. I really appreciate the CPT team in my community. I rely on them a lot. Other than the ATVs, what are other CPT budget requests? For example, we heard that they may need supplies for programs, the school presentation, or community events like KKID. Is there any other...”
“And I do see the need of the ATVs in pulling out homeless encampments in my area. There are hills, and sometimes the easiest and the fastest way is to use the ATVs to drag things out of the area. But, you know, the program is amazing. One of the things, we attended something last week, and everybody said how good the CPT teams are in our district. So I want to just make sure that they're taken care of and having all the supplies that they need because it is a huge need in our community.”
“Thank you chair. Aloha Adam. My question is, is there a way to outsource the entire CEFD review process to a third party professionals like yourself that focus on these districts so that it won't burden the city staff?”
“Okay, thank you. And who determined which department heads are part of the reviewing moves? I think this is a question for staff.”
