“Yes to deny. It's a motion to deny. You're voting yes to deny.”

“Yes, I make a motion that we, let me check the notes here, that we approve the rezone and its request for special use is part of our ordinances related to the Greek use, and then the actual details will be going through the Historic Preservation Commission.”

“No, I kind of already covered it when I did the motion.”

“This is very complicated and very involved, and I remember when we had the seven, I think it was seven, GIC topics. We're doing a couple of them in waves. The next item, 26, is another example of things that we want in the toolbox, as Commissioner Davenport said. And I wanted to vote on them at that time a la carte. And I was assured, Mr. Mayor, that I would have my chance to vote singularly on these after there was time spent on the Planning Commission, the Planning Department. I personally don't like people to waste their time on topics, but this topic is so complicated, as we've seen with…”

“Patrick has more information than I do with this bridge being in my district. I guess it's a bridge between your district and mine, right? I did appreciate the information that came forward from the two entities that we've been learning from, so I would make a motion that we put it on hold so that additional information can be nailed down about proper signs and the ability to do what was asked.”

“Yeah, to table it for the time needed to bring it forward appropriately. That's the part that, since we don't know the steps, you know the steps.”

“Yeah, this used to be my district and that dead end was problematic safety-wise. And then part of the reason, just to be clear, that this additional access point is because of the issue we had with our bridge and there being only a one-way in and out. how that repair and an automobile malfunction could also block the traffic so safety wise it seems appropriate to have this in here and it shows you can see on the in our document here that it's our property as far as having it like the manager had said if we need to put a barricade on it say then nobody's coming through here that the blue area…”

“Just quickly, this captures... We're trying to do our best, and we're trying to capture that and move forward. If we're not getting things in the right order, we need to get them in order, literally. But anyway, ready to vote.”

“I just found it very interesting, the history of our size growing and that item.”

“It is. I just want to be clear. I inherited the dilapidated, boarded-up property with the redistricting mapping, and I have had to write numerous work requests for securing the property, the roofing, the tarping, getting it into compliance and I am thrilled that there is a dedicated group of men that are going to take this on and they have the strength of their national fraternity. Charlie said it really well about their commitment. This is a different kind of fraternity. The fact that their chapter meetings are on Sunday follows their focus on spirit and the church strength that they get.…”

“That is not their style. Good to know. And I would say the strength in their national organization speaks to the longevity of their lifestyle, if you know what I mean.”

“What's your address again? You said the animal houses, I believe, are in your district?”

“Yeah. On that same, just to continue a little bit about what Commissioner Link was asking about, Bruce. So with the tree per parking spot, are those Needing to be within the line of the parking or or can they be they could be in the island?”

“okay and then so um i think you had some images that we don't have in the packet can you send us as a follow-up what the two parcel current traffic flow looks like and then isn't didn't you say there's gonna be some improvements besides the building being gone right for the traffic flow right out”

“Thank you. I appreciate the feedback because it's very strong. that the people who have their place now are seeing bad examples of the current version of an accessory dwelling in their neighborhoods and to open, I think it would be a floodgate, but part of the details, like Commissioner Link started off saying that the details that are missing one of them would be that i could see that a new subdivision could be built in accessory dwellings in the description that we saw tonight in that description could be in a new unit and with a new place when you buy there you know it's there you you…”

“Yeah, I also hope that we can move this forward because I think it aligns with the setbacks, right, Bruce? It would be our infill setbacks. It already has the parameters around it. It's less complicated. We have lots that... because of that minimum sizing, can't be habitable. It's an empty lot. And we spent, what, 18 months on the infill details for infill housing, and this fits under it with it being a smaller one, as I understand it. So, again, I hope that we can move this one forward.”

“Yeah, I'd like to put it on consent. I would also like in the follow-up email if we could get the number of Dexter Weaver's petition signatures. I know it had to be the 1,000 threshold, but if y'all would share with me, I suspect he got over that with the timeline that he had.”
